Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor

We use SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM) globally to manage and monitor our critical business applications and infrastructure devices. NPM provides a clear, easy to understand dashboard that is easy to drill down to more detailed data. NPM was very simple to set up and has been pretty simple to manage, and the solution scales perfectly to our size.
  • NPM provides detailed information like availability, health, performance monitoring, and bandwidth analysis.
  • NPM is a very useful tool for performing network discovery.
  • NPM's reporting capabilities offers pretty good granularity.
  • Speed of the application
  • Ease of grouping business application infrastructure together
  • End to end business application performance monitoring
  • Very Positive. NPM has provided details used to justify the upgrade and enhancement of multiple infrastructure solutions within our enterprise.
  • NPM, provides information used on a daily basis to demonstrate SLA performance metrics.
SolarWinds was very competitive from a function and feature standpoint, but was the most cost effective solution. Support has been great and the Solarwinds team has always been available for any questions that we have.
SolarWinds NPM is great for any organization that wants to monitor and manage their IT infrastructure. Creating dashboards is fairly easy and it is very easy to get professional results. Reporting features are pretty robust and it's easy to create simple reports. I think if you have a need for very granular monitoring that might be a weakness of NPM.
