Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Squarespace is a DIY WYSIWYG website creation tool. Small business owners can tackle the moderate learning curve and be well on their way to a modest website in a matter of hours. It's very simple to choose a theme, input content and go live online, and of course, it's quite cost-effective. While I tend to refer my clients to better tools, Squarespace is the fallback for budget-wary customers and startups who just want to go live with their brand and message.

Down to earth setup and content management.

Cons

Squarespace is by design limited in flexibility.
There is a modest learning curve, but nothing you can't tackle.

Return on Investment

Margins are thin when it comes to building web properties for mom and pop shops. Squarespace allows us an affordable fallback.

WordPress, Bootstrap, Foundation, Twig and Craft

Squarespace is used for the small cost-sensitive projects. For functionality and flexibility we use WordPress. For full customizability, we use a custom framework or a Craft workflow.
