What Tipalti can and cannot do for your company
Overall Satisfaction with Tipalti
Our company uses Tipalti to store and maintain vendor information, enter and process vendor invoices and issue vendor payments. The data stored in Tipalti syncs with our ERP - NetSuite to provide an accurate data stream.
Pros
- Excellent filters to sort data
- Customer service response time is very quick
- Vendor portal is easy to use and feedback from our vendors is positive
- Security of company and vendor information
Cons
- poor search functionality (e.g. cannot search for a payment by amount)
- frequent slowness and connectivity issues - seems unstable more than it should
- too many false positive sync errors
- times out every 20 minutes, forcing re-login
- Tipalti manages the payment process well
- Tipalti support is very responsive and communicative
- Tipalti is relatively quick at syncing with our ERP with minimal errors
- Our Tipalti account manager is very attentive and responsive to our concerns and communicates often
- Vendor onboarding is relatively easy for our vendors and we have received little negative feedback from them
- Tipalti is well suited for securing both company and vendor data a
- Our company experiences frequent slowness with loading pages
- Recently we have experienced certain actions failing, such as placing invoices on Hold Payment,
- Tipalti has no separate search engine - you can only filter data by pages to try to locate what you are looking for
- Vendors have experienced failures adding required signatures to the W9 they load, which requires our company to manually add the W9 tax information
- The invoice scan does not always recognize what is not an invoice so we receive too many non-invoices that we have to delete, and ultimately pay for
- sometimes product updates create new sync errors
Tipalti has made the vendor onboarding process more efficient by allowing vendors to control their own information; approval workflow process by allowing users to approve invoices from the email and the payment process more efficient by funding our clearing accounts based on our payment runs and taking out the process of manually funding our accounts.

Yes - We report bugs with Tipalti on a weekly basis, which is part of the issue we have with Tipalti. It's usually resolved to our satisfaction, but sometimes it takes quite a while.
We recently had a ACH transfer from rejected due to an incorrect vendor bank account. We quickly worked with the vendor to update the banking information and Tipalti support was able to quickly waive the small ACH fee so we could reissue the payment by the next day.
