Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We use TriNet for all of our HR and payroll requirements, including healthcare, 401k, and expense reporting. We needed a full cafeteria of services to attract and retain employees, and found TriNet's options equal or superior to alternative suppliers.
  • Great selection of healthcare plans.
  • The website is clean and easy to navigate.
  • Excellent service. When I have questions, I can email/chat/call and get well-informed answers.
  • The "Help" function could use a better search engine. I often find myself calling the helpline because I can't find an answer using the search function.
  • 401k investment options are way too restrictive. Alternatively, setting up a self-directed investment account is complex and confusing.
An individual was assigned to shepherd our company through the onboarding process, which was well-organized and relatively painless. I have also been exceptionally happy with call center support.
Overall, the website is intuitive and easy to navigate. There are some features (for me, it was payroll entry) that took a little extra work the first time.

I had previously used a regional PEO (professional employment organization) based in the southeast. TriNet is head-and-shoulders above my prior service provider.
TriNet is a great platform for small companies to offer the type of services (healthcare, 401k) that were traditionally only available through larger companies. The setup and administration effort are relatively easy, and TriNet does a good job of keeping me updated on payroll, regulatory issues, etc.
