Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We used TriNet as our payroll processing system. They processed our payroll and HR reporting. We transitioned from a PTO plan to a DTO plan and they assisted in the transition with legal aspect as well as the PTO balances on our end.

Horrible. When we first started using trinet they had a chat function and phone number. With payroll there are some things that are urgent and need immediate attention so this type of customer service is necessary. In 2021 they completely got rid of the live chat and phone number and customer support was only reachable through submitting a case which took days to get a response.
It is easy to use, easy to process payroll, easy to get reports.

Trinet has more features than Gusto and QuickBooks Online as far as HR reporting, census, off-cycle payroll, tax reports etc. But the biggest thing it doesn't have that all of these other do is a live chat feature that is completely necessary for immediate payroll issues that always come up.
We had a lot of W2 issues with Trinet. They did not correctly enter the stock gains on our employees W2s. This caused so many issues for us, we had to submit multiple forms to create W2Cs. We not only had a huge delay in getting the W2s to our employees but they charged us a lot in fees to get this done.
