Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

We currently use it as MFA to access to WatchGuard partner portal, and we have enabled Authpoint for a client to use as MFA with their SSLVPN connections.

Pros

  • Manage tokens.
  • Integrates easily with Active Directory.
  • Easy to manage from WatchGuard cloud.

Cons

  • Transferring of tokens when changing devices.
  • It added to our security posture for clients.
WatchGuard AuthPoint is easy to manage and implement. It works really well with WatchGuard solutions.
We have benefited from this as it's easy to manage, and our on-call techs can provide assistance when they're not in the office and are working remotely.
It has been well received as it's part of our security posture. Users need to use it for SSLVPN connections, and the App is easy to use. The only issue I have encountered would have been from some users who don't know how to download the App or navigate their smartphone.

I believe WatchGuard AuthPoint is suited for SSLVPN connections. It verifies the identity to remotely access the network. It also works well as MFA to sign into Windows devices for security. I don't think it's well suited for other third party cloud platforms as it can be problematic to transfer the tokens.
