Use Cases and Deployment Scope

WG is used as our edge UTM router at our primary, as well as satellite offices. We also use WG for our VPN appliance.

Pros and Cons

Easy to deploy and manage.
Good customer support.
Competitive price point.

There is a slight learning curve for terminology and methodology.
GUI interface is nice, but many power users are more familiar with CLI.

Alternatives Considered

We have been using WG for 7+ years now, and have not reviewed any other hardware recently. We are happy with our WG implementation.

WG hardware is great for small and large organizations looking for powerful, yet easy to configure/manage devices. In large installations, they can be implemented in combination with other hardware, but having all your routing equipment be WG simplifies management and training. WG provides excellent support, and there are examples/tutorials available to help get first-time users up to speed.
