Overall Satisfaction with Acquia DAM (Widen)
We currently use Acquia DAM (Widen) to save all are pertinent marketing assets that we use on a regular basis. Our asset types include marketing/fact sheets (native and PDF files) employee headshots, logos, stock photography, employee bios, etc. Before Acquia DAM (Widen), we would save these files to the company drive designated for the marketing team. It would always be a challenge looking for a particular file you needed as the file may be saved in a different location, files were not dated or were duplicated, or you may not be able to locate the file at all, even by doing a basic search. With Acquia DAM (Widen) our files are much more organized and are tagged with the appropriate brand, product and asset type which makes it much easier to locate.
- Organization
- Ease of navigation/user interface
- Identifying what an asset is
- Integration with third-party sites
- Having a trail of all updates for assets (Dates, time stamps, etc.)
- There should one interface when viewing an asset. If you click on a file name or click on the "Edit" button when doing a search you are presented with two different interfaces.
- Reduce the time to search for particular assets
- Being able to integrate with other platforms.
We have integrated Widen with several platforms we use. All of our marketing sheets and reference materials are saved within the DAM. We have embedded the links for these assets on our internal intranet and print-on-demand marketing portal, and our external websites, so that when these sheets are updated in Widen, the change is reflected everywhere the links are placed. This eliminates the need to update PDF manually in separate locations. Another example is that instead of emailing multiple assets and large files to employees or external agencies (we may result in multiple emails) upon request, we can just share the links for these assets.

Acquia DAM (Widen) Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Yes - We first did our best to organize all of our marketing assets by brand on our corporate drive before they were uploaded into the DAM. We did everything by asset type to keep things organized. We did this after we completed all of our onboarding and training sessions.
Change management was minimal - The implementation process was relatively smooth and stress-free.
- Not really an issue, but taking the time to rename all of our assets to the naming convention we designated for all of them.

Configuring Acquia DAM (Widen)
It's dependent on the number and type of assets and the number of users using the DAM.
Some - we have done small customizations to the interface - We divided our assets by our brand for that a user can click on the brand for the asset they needed instead of having to click on view all assets and filter things out that what. It was also relatively easy to customize the interface with our brand colors and images.
No - we have not done any custom code
