Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

As a project manager, I was able to help implement the Xactly software at our company. Xactly was selected to help our sales team be able to view their projected commissions and know what to expect at any time. They will no long have to request this information from a single source. The ability to see commissions in real time can help to motivate the team and close more deals! On the admin side, this will allow for a central place to house all our information and make it easier for all teams to leverage the same information. It will remove manual process that only a single person is aware of and make the process more streamlined
  • We were not able to fully leverage the out of the box point and click configuration due to our complex plans; however, that feature and ability is something that we hope to leverage in the future
  • At a glance dashboards are very helpful
  • The ability to leverage a hierarchy approach to commissions is helpful to establish pay structures
  • The ability to support slightly more complex commission / higher volume of unique plans would be helpful
  • Process flow documentation could be provided from Xactly to the team upon completion of an implementation
  • A little too soon to tell as we have more to build out in the tool.
Our team is currently considering additional integrations into Workday to help with processing commissions and automating 606 compliance
The ability to have the data flow from SF to Xactly has reduced the amount of manual work that was previously needed
We are currently discussing how accounting and finance can leverage Xactly to complete some of their month end tasks

A company that has a limited amount of compensation plan variances would benefit from the Xactly Incent tool. It is most supportive of a more straight forward approach to commissions that include basic hierarchy tiers and payouts. In our situation, the team worked extremely hard to ensure that they could make a large amount of unique plans still fit into the tool and while it took longer than expected, they were able to accomplish this. As a PM, I also found that having a strong business team who is comfortable with the details, can test, execute and advocate is key to success as Xactly does rely on the business to define and conduct the testing independently. A self motivated business team is key to success.
