Overall Satisfaction with Zoom

Zoom is used as an app for collaboration and communication for [our organization and others like it] in Balkan. It is an easy-to-use option compared to other platforms, and it perfectly solves the main necessities of video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat which is a must other competitors offer those services also.

Pros

  • Very good audio quality

Cons

  • You need an app to make the calls and meetings, but it would be perfect if it had a web-based option.
  • Sometimes when internet speed drops, the audio quality also drops; I would understand the video quality dropping, but the audio doesn't consume much bandwidth, so it would be nice to have a consistent audio even on low internet speeds.
  • Google Calendar support [is important].
  • It's free to use.
  • Its software is lightweight on computer resources.
  • HD video and clear audio [is also important].
  • The ease of use of the software has eliminated the need for an IT [member] to assist on the calls.
Zoom is a high-performing video conferencing app [that] is a good option for conferencing meetings. It has all the options that a normal user needs from such an application. But here are some pros that other software offer which Zoom lacks:1. Skype for example has a web client which you can use without downloading an app, 2. Slack offers better support for software developers and code sharing, and 3. Webex is easier to join meetings.

Zoom is a nice option for those people that know the basics of surfing on the web and using basic programs. It doesn't require a high level of understanding or being in IT software; the design is simple and easy to use, which makes it very friendly for new users. One pleasant option is that you can join meetings without creating a Zoom account. If Zoom added an option like web-based without the need to install an app, it would be perfect, because let's face it, some people don't like installing other software programs on their pc.
