Zoom - it's like you're in the room
Overall Satisfaction with Zoom
I use Zoom to interact with clients. This includes setting up intro meetings for prospective clients and also weekly meetings for project status or planning. The most significant use of Zoom for me is through the delivery of workshops for clients. They range from 1-hour sessions to 8 hours a day.
Pros
- Breakout rooms - their simplicity and ability to manage.
- User interface - ability to manage all the features and see participants at same time.
- Playing videos and audio - can adjust settings.
Cons
- When doing breakout rooms, I would like the ability to not place co-host in a room.
- Ease of use for participants.
- Breakout rooms.
- Chat.
- Emoticons.
- It's been instrumental in delivery of services through the pandemic.
- Easy to use so the pivot to virtual delivery was easy.
I only use this platform if the client forces me to. It has a complicated user interface. With Zoom I can facilitate easily and be the producer, switching people into rooms, monitoring chat, request emoticons. Not with Adobe Connect. It's not as simple and clear to use. Also, I've experienced issues with breakout rooms in Adobe Connect too many times, whereby people can hear people in other rooms. This has never happened with Zoom. The ease and simplicity of breakout rooms simulate real-life far better than Adobe.
