Overall Satisfaction with ZoomInfo

Our organization uses ZoomInfo for most of our prospecting. We have a defined Customer Profile for different products and services that we offer, and use ZoomInfo to identify influencers, users, and decision makers to target for marketing collateral, event invitation, and cold calling. Our sales organization primarily uses ZoomInfo to identify leads within target accounts.
  • Compared to other solutions, the contact information (phone, cell, email) is more accurate.
  • They provided daily updates of relevant business information via the scoops feature, including publicly available info with interviews.
  • When exporting leads based on Intent Words, the Intent Word used to identify a lead does not automatically stay linked to the lead. It is a manual process to keep these linked and can be quite time consuming.
  • The proactive customer support and training could be better.
  • Intent word accuracy declined when they were not using Bombara.
  • We have grown our lead database by 8x in 1 year
  • 20% of our new deals started last year came from ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo has better data quality and accuracy, and a broader range of target identification tools (scoops, Intent). ZoomInfo is also much more expensive than either of these tools. It is worth it to focus on negotiating a better price, because at list prices it may be hard to justify the ZoomInfo cost.
ZoomInfo is well suited for companies that have a strong sense of who their key targets and users are but they lack the relationships and contacts within those companies. ZoomInfo can provide good intel on the companies and accurate contact information.

ZoomInfo is probably too expensive a solution for companies that are still trying to conduct market research and defining the value proposition and identifying ideal customer profile.
