Likelihood to Recommend This is excellent software if you wonder what your team is doing when you aren't there. If you want to improve your team's workflows and efficiencies so they get more done with less fatigue, this is a great thing to have. This is not spyware. It isn't designed to capture keystrokes. It is designed to help your team improve performance and for management to understand what they are doing and help them improve. If you want to micromanage your team, then don't use this.
Read full review Glint is a really user friendly and visually appealing platform for survey recipients. They also have a great support team, who are helpful in answering our questions. Areas where Glint can improve is more on the admin side. If you only need to run your surveys a few times a year (which is what we do with our 360 & employee engagement surveys), it’s not going to be bad at all. For our exit interview process, we run them for every leaver and are running into difficulties with how to streamline how to upload the data in an efficient and non-time consuming way. I also think data reporting can be better & more user friendly.
Read full review Pros Detailed listings of actions at times. done by the second in many cases, very useful. the productive/unproductive listings allow managers at a glance to see their employees use of time Snapshots ( when properly utilized) are very helpful in troubleshooting, strange, occurrences, as well as they're used by Human resources. The IT help desk is very efficient. log in to your portal, bottom right, and in minutes your talking to someone. Read full review Great way to create and send surveys. Easy to fill out when expecting 100s of responses. Effective at collating response for management teams to review. Ability to complete on mobile devices. Read full review Cons Alerts for when someone is not working during scheduled hours (although this may already exist and we don't utilize it as I know the alarm feature is pretty comprehensive) Because of our IT configurations, a lot of weird "groups" show up on the dashboard which looks a bit confusing Not having to create a group for 1 employee to see their own data, just allow each user to see their own data once their access account is created Read full review The commenting process could be improved--sometimes a survey will skip ahead when you aren't ready to proceed Read full review Likelihood to Renew We are in agreement that the tool is very handy as a security companion. The system collects and retain relevant historical data to be queried when you desire e.g. in security reviews once a week.
Read full review Usability ActivTrak is a great product that just keeps growing. Having used it for quite some time, we have been able to see ActivTrak grow and evolve as a product. The ActivTrak webinars are also helpful to get to know and learn the product. ActivTrak really just works with little effort needed after the initial installation
Read full review INCREDIBLY easy for the end-user. The only questions we had were around confidentiality/anonymity. We tried to further address these with other surveys by calling out and explaining how Glint worked. As an admin, it is also quite simple and easy to find answers when you don't have them.
Read full review Reliability and Availability It's never been down.
Read full review Performance Have not received any issues with Activtrak's performance in regard to loading pages, reports, or other systems.
Read full review Support Rating Support is always fast and the agents are ready at all times to help when an issue arises, if the tier 1 agent isn't able to provide a solution to the issue they're asked about they quickly escalate the issue to tier 2 or 3 to ensure that the appropriate support is given to the issue at hand to have it quickly solved. No issue we've had so far has taken more than two days to be solved.
Read full review The technical support has been on point from implementation through to when we were running on our own with our surveys. It's great to have People Science support but we did find that oftentimes we knew our organization better and should be speaking to leadership about these results instead of PS. It was great to throw lines out to them for trends, especially when it came to Covid, Return to Office, and Diversity.
Read full review Implementation Rating There should be a way to automatically implement the system without giving users the opportunity to accept or deny the program on their computers.
Read full review Alternatives Considered We selected ActivTrak for the features we were looking for. One of the main reasons was the deployment for Chromebook's and of course the price. During our demo held with each party, we were impressed with presentation from ActivTrak. One thing we would've liked is for ActivTrak to also be available for deployment to Android phones.
Read full review The only comparable product I've used is Rypple, which I'm not sure still exists. Glint is a superior product in pretty much every way I can remember, from the employee survey experience to the output reports.
Read full review Scalability The product's overall scalability is good as our team grows. We would like to see updates to meet market demands.
Read full review Return on Investment Defensive capabilities immediately avoided data exfiltration from an outgoing employee. Trends for underperforming or underdeveloping users can be spotted, analyzed by managers, and used within their overall development management to help staff reach their best potential. Costing for targeted use is relatively low and therefore a "no brainer." Read full review Feeling more involved in company decisions. Getting feedback to management on critical problems.
