Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Social

Adobe Social is not well suited to any type of social publishing, reporting or listening, particularly on a large scale within a major enterprise. It can, on occasion, completely fail to do what is asked of it. Customer support is slow and representatives often don't even read the ticket properly and ask questions answered by the ticket.

Zoho Social

Zoho Social is well suited for managing several accounts with ease. When we are looking for content to post for our account or our clients, the share browser extension allows us to quickly schedule posts as groups for our accounts or our clients. The Smart Q is right there as well, so we are able to post quickly and efficiently.

Pros

  • Adobe Social lacks strengths, as I believe Adobe themselves have acknowledged, given their decision not to continue support or development. But if I need to list three strengths, the first would be it can publish to some social media platforms with a success rate of over 50%. If that's a strength.
  • It has workflow processes, but they are over-complicated and poorly designed.
  • It has some basic analytics, but Adobe consultants usually recommend referring to Adobe Analytics instead. Which is great if you actually use Adobe Analytics.

  • The social analytics reports are very easy to read and give you an idea of how you are trending across your social platforms. It is also great to see which posts are engaging your audience the most with just a glance.
  • The User Interface is very easy to navigate. You simply click on what you desire to look at on the left and it is there! Some platforms have so much going on that it is difficult to navigate through quickly. If you are handling a lot of accounts, Zoho Social makes it easy to measure your progress with each one because of its easy User Interface.
  • I do like the Smart Q for automatic scheduling but it is also one of the weaknesses of Zoho Social.

Cons

  • Publishing social posts is unpredictable - not every scheduled post actually gets published and nor do some of the real-time posts.
  • Publishing YouTube videos requires users to first upload the whole video to Adobe Social, which will then upload it to YouTube. So inefficient!
  • Listening tools are difficult to work with and filtering results are not easy either.

  • The Smart Q sometimes schedules posts too far in advance. I question the accuracy of the Smart Q because it does not seem to differentiate based on social network. Based on their recommendations, for the maximum engagement, I sometimes have to have two posts scheduled to go out at the same time.
  • I am not quite sure about their collaborate tool. I am thinking that it is for teams to discuss and brainstorm social strategies and relationships.
  • I do not find my Twitter posts being updated too often in the recent posts section. When I measure the Zoho Social reports against other vendor reports, some of the data seems to be missing. It is not within the reports themselves, but rather in their quick glance at recent posts. Again, I only found this happening in the Twitter Feed.

Likelihood to Renew

Adobe Social5.4
Based on 11 answers
I wasn't in charge of making the actual management decision, but I would absolutely renew Adobe Social. As I mentioned, it provides strong and in-depth analytics and listening tools. The reports that it generates are very thorough and easy to read. I loved the platform and would recommend it to anyone

Usability

Social moves at the speed of light, Adobe Social doesn't. I found posting via the system very cumbersome.

Support

Adobe Social8.0
Based on 1 answer
The Adobe support team is really helpful. We have recently gone through a number of account reps since our favorite rep was promoted off of our account, so we are hoping for better service in our newest rep.

Online Training

Adobe Social6.0
Based on 1 answer
Training was long and a little confusing. While a number of features carried over, they were still covered in this elongated training. It would have been nice to have training tailored to experience level with the product.

Implementation

Adobe Social5.0
Based on 1 answer
The implementation was done during our POC. We had a very mixed experience here, and have had some issues arise since based on the way the tool was implemented. An Adobe employee went ahead and made a change to our account that was unauthorized (helpful for our implementation) which caused issues in on boarding another team who needed the same change, but could not get it done without costly Adobe certification

Alternatives Considered

I use Social Studio currently at my job and I believe both are very similar products. Adobe Social has stronger analytics, including revenue and leads generated. Social Studio's layout is a little easier to navigate. Although it has its bugs too. Overall both platforms are great, but I definitely give an edge to Adobe Social in analytics

So far Zoho has beaten all others with its rich feature set: scheduled postings, measurements, and reporting. Others do not come close to meeting the same expectations. If you are looking to manage your social media and knowing its impact Zoho Social is a must for any business looking to grow.

Return on Investment

  • No impact really. Other than getting other employees to look at posting content.
Sandy Adam profile photo
  • Saves time - reducing staff overhead.
  • We have been able to adjust our postings for maximum exposure.
  • Have not reliezed actual sales yet.
  • We have not actually realized sales yet but expect to based on the postive impact to posting times.
