FinancialForce HCM gives HR admins the full Hire to Retire experience while also meeting the needs of the worker/end user. Additionally, the application is well suited for talent management, shift scheduling, electronic benefits transmissions and connecting to payroll providers. Integration of HCM with other FinancialForce offerings, such as PSA and Accounting, completes the connection of front to back office.

  • Great automation. When an employee requests off, it will automatically notify me and then send a confirmation back to the employee.
  • I absolutely love the payroll feature, it is easy to find a discrepancy in payroll. Visually appealing pop-ups and animation.
  • The News section easily allows for organizational posts or notifications.

  • The employee and manager self-service functionality allows for end users to be more efficient in their daily HR tasks.

Cons

  • When ADP releases updates, it sometimes causes issues with our current setup - mainly in terms of security access profiles. If they add a new feature or update an old one, sometimes those profiles will default to having access, which can cause a problem in terms of segregation of duties.
  • The initial support we received when we first went live from a payroll perspective was not the best. Our implementation team rolled off and we were informed that a new group would support us. Unfortunately, they did not know our entire set up, so they were, at times, as lost as we were. (This has improved over the last year.)

  • Performance review process could be streamlined or better defined.
  • Standardized process for administrating benefit options year over year, the ability to quickly update pricing and tier changes.
  • Out of box standardized holiday calendar templates.

They have TONS of training modules available and a streamlined process for what you should complete and when. Would have been helpful to have onsite training for how much one pays for the system.

Alternatives Considered

ADP Vantage HCM is not an optimal solution compared to the features offered by Greenhouse and Bullhorn Recruitment CRM. If a recruiting team has a need for a detailed pipeline that is accurate, user-friendly, easy to integrate and migrate data then Greenhouse or Bullhorn Recruitment CRM would be better options. ADP Vantage is very much a program that is difficult to adopt and use

From a pricing perspective, FinancialForce HCM is very competitive in both licensing and implementation costs. Ultimately having an application that was native to Salesforce drove our final decision. While we were hoping to find an application that included the ability to process payroll internally we settled on the process of linking to a 3rd party vendor. The other options were either too pricey or lacked some of the key functionality we required.
