Likelihood to Recommend BambooHR is the first HR platform I have experience with but it is vastly better than a more traditional file cabinet where each employee has a file with their information. I appreciate the excellent customer service and how the platform is constantly improving. We cannot utilize the payroll options because our current needs are more complicated than what Bamboo HR can handle, but for a smaller business with simpler needs, BambooHR would be a perfect all-around tool.
Read full review Traffic is suitable for most agencies, regardless of size. You don't need to use all of the features in order to get good results. And it can be linked to Maconomy which is useful for larger agencies. We have around 80 employees and it works great.
Read full review Pros The Applicant Tracking System is pretty good. Has a couple flaws but over all it's a really great module. The HR management system works really well and we love how much we can customize things we need. The Reporting feature is one of my favorite things about BambooHR. I can create any report I want and I love that. Read full review The time sheet area is really good - it's easy to drag and drop and fill in time sheets with allocated tasks quickly, which makes it more likely that people will actually do it! It's invaluable to be able to see the time spent on different tasks across a job - both for keeping track of ongoing projects, but also to plan resourcing and costs for the next time. It's useful to be able to mark parts of a job as 'complete' before the full job is finished - this makes it easier to track which tasks still have to be finished, and makes sure that people are tracking time to the correct task within the job. Job templates are very useful to make sure the same set of tasks is added to each job automatically. Read full review Cons The performance feature is a little clunky and not adjustable, so I would love to have more customizable options. When a candidate signs an offer letter, it would be great if it could show up under the documents tab. Right now, it gets a little buried. I would like to be able to colour code staff holidays, public holidays so I can easily see what resources I have available. I would recommend it to any business starting with more than 10 employees. I will continue to use the program for as long as I need to, hoping they continue being tremendous and finding other ways to incorporate more technology.
Read full review Usability BambooHR makes things so easy. It's a very user-friendly application, with most things being easy to understand inherently and the handful of things that aren't easy to learn either via help from customer service or the hundreds of training videos and documents available to you. I've seamlessly taught the platform to multiple employees, some of them contractors and not very good at computer things.
Read full review Reliability and Availability Yes, there is a huge team in the back of the online platform or it looks like it because I have never been left without an answer when I have a question or waiting from a response on my chat .... There must be a huge team, this is so great and I always seem to have someone that is very knowledgeable too. So many times in the past I had to leave with customer service that would connect you with someone else because of the expertise, here everyone seems to be some kind of an expert in the HR function.
Read full review Performance I love BambooHR. Reports are easy to run and download and it usually covers any types of requests I get from the management team. You get excel or .csv downloads/reports and it is fast and simple, not too crowded so it is easy to read through. We don't integrate the tool yet but again, soon we will. we just did not had the time to utilize it yet but that's the plan.

I appreciate the kindness and patience each agent has shown. It's actually a pleasure to speak with them, even through the chat. I cannot say enough good things about the support I receive.

Read full review Online Training As far as I can recall, everything went well with doing it online and got questions answered. Was thankful to work with a dummy file to get used to some practices prior to getting our own domain within bamboo to then place our personnel information in the system, this helped a lot!
Read full review Implementation Rating We implemented bambooHR in Fall, 2023 then implemented Payroll 1/1/24. A vital piece of information was not known or missed in that we are exempt from State Unemployment Tax and have a Reimbursement Set-up, so bambooHR did not send Payroll Reports to the State. Those reports need to be sent regardless if we are exempt or not.

Kimble PSA because we felt that as a package, it provided all the functionality we need against its competitors. It had far more functionality than TrafficLIVE and was more suited to the scale of our business.
Read full review Contract Terms and Pricing Model Since my organization has dropped with employees, I always find ways to reduce costs. I thought there would be a cheaper option, but I was glad that my package included a lot for the price, and downgrading would cost more. The rep could have let me downgraded and taken me to a higher package. I am thankful that didn't happen.
Read full review Scalability There is so much you can do with this platform, it is incredible and so welcoming. We don't utilize it 100% yet just because we are growing and the HR team has not been able to concentrate on other areas offered to us but but we will soon. Which is also why we got the product, specifically because what BambooHR can do to help us meet our growing business needs.

Read full review Return on Investment Gave more time back to HR, Directors, and Managers by providing options for easy reports and a place to have all the information. PTO! This has given so much time back to accounting as they no longer have to manually calculate PTO and it's also allowed our team to feel more comfortable to take time off by having an official way to ask off and see what their balances are. Onboarding and offboarding: this has helped HR with the many many tasks of helping team members come onboard as well as when they leave a company. Professionalism: the ability to create forms and has stepped up our game for new hires and even tracking things we have needed our team to fill out! Read full review Much more clarity as to how much time each different type of brief should take to complete as we can back reference as to how long it took last season. It has lead to better customer service. We can visibly demonstrate where we are with jobs and who has been assigned. In the past verbally confirming the different stages did not always convince the project leaders that they were being given the actual real time. From the Studio users point of view it has empowered them to manage their time more efficiently.
