Likelihood to Recommend We used to manually process information which are available in
Salesforce to another system, right now we just click a button and these information is available in another system. This process eliminate human error and provide accurate information in our financial reporting. This process helps our accounting department provide efficiency and accuracy on providing data.
Read full review Is my IT team ready to handle the challenges with data integration ? Are all the features offered by my current quoting tool being offered by Cameleon? Do I need a SaaS based quoting tool? Would it be easy and intuitive for my sales team (who, quite frankly, worship MS Excel) to use Cameleon ? Do I need a real-time/near-real-time quoting tool or would delays in data refreshes be acceptable
Read full review Pros It is positive that Conga integrates with and is operated within SFDC Conga allows users to tag any document with dynamic fields that map to SFDC and send it out for signature Conga allows us to consistently produce quotes with the correct SKUs, Terms, & conditions at scale Read full review Salesforce.com integration via a plugin that lets end users access Cameleon CPQ systems. Quoting made easier with complex business rules. Good support from the Cameleon team with fixes and enhancements. Read full review Cons It is challenging to go from solutions to templates and then to each account record to generate - is there a way to generate for all? the search for reports is unwieldy - can there be a "recents" to cut down on what reports we are searching through? or a way to view folders. i have tried saving time by having conga composer up on several records and you can't generate records. again, if there is a way to generate for all? Read full review Integration with other onsite systems such as Oracle databases require the expertise of knowledgeable developers. Manual upload of flat files are always an option , but not necessarily the cleanest. Better Cameleon CPQ Designer UI would go a long way. Currently UI is a stark contrast to the intuitive UI of SalesForce.com or similar SaaS based tools. Not too much to ask for , considering the fact that we work in the era of Facebook and Twitter. Real time data availability is a long way to go for Cameleon CPQ. Updates to data pushed over as batches to Cameleon are reflected at Salesforce.com only after a 'versioning' process is launched. Current recommended frequency for this process is once a day (an upgrade to make it twice a day is in the works). Read full review Likelihood to Renew Though I love how easily Conga Composer ties into Salesforce and its given analytics, it takes a lot of data entry to get up and running. I don't love that sometimes queries can take a long time to pull. I like keeping our marketing templates consistent via templates in the system. Pulling multiple objects into one report is fantastic too.
Read full review There are a few features that we expected from the tool but Cameleon's CPQ has fallen short on these. Possible enhancements and product fixes should be made as soon as possible to change the perspective. Unexpected bugs in the tool have come up during the roll-out that has caught the implementation team off-guard
Read full review Usability It's a fairly simple tool to integrate into your current business structure. When we've had issues, we were able to resolve them extremely quickly. The users click a button and it can bring in all the quote lines, and our credit application seamlessly into our tool. I'd definitely recommend it to other colleagues
Read full review Performance This product appears to work well. It was not a fit for us this time, but we would consider in future
Read full review Support Rating It's been hit and miss depending on the issue. We use javascript to generate the urls which has confused many techs even though it generates a clean url - they are overwhelmed by the concept of code and can't understand that the url is all that matters.
Read full review Implementation Rating It was painful internally to build out all of the templates, but the actual implementation of the product was okay.

Nintex is the primary competitor for Conga Composer, but I have not personally used it. I was not present for the decision to purchase Conga but I would recommend it in future document automation vendor selection processes because I have seen how well it works! We are especially fond of complementary features in Conga Composer, including Conga Email Templates and Conga Global Merge.

Read full review Return on Investment Without Conga Composer we wouldn't be able to auto generate documents in Salesforce, the extra customisation is needed. The ROI is obvious when it comes to having customised documents As long as the data is available in Salesforce, it's available in Conga, and so we have no issues with it's efficiency Read full review A salesforce.com -esque approach to CRM has a whole gamut of advantages. Cameleon CPQ complements this approach. Expect down times , feature problems or general disagreement about Cameleon's capabilities initially. This is true for adopting any new tool or technology. Hold on and it will tide over. As a person who has used Cameleon purely as a developer standpoint , I do not have anything more to add-on. Read full review ScreenShots Conga Composer Screenshots
