Litmus Software in Cambridge, MA offers their email marketing solution Litmus, supporting email campaign building and best practice checklists, spam testing and resolution, proofing and feedback sharing, and email analytics.
If you're looking to take your email program to the next level with automation, you definitely need to consider Drip. Their support team is always timely and helpful whenever we've needed guidance on the platform or using the API. They are constantly improving their tools. It never feels stagnant or lacking in critical features. Their prebuilt workflows make getting started very easy and you can start driving more revenue almost immediately.
Litmus has helped us as an organisation to ensure that the emails we send out to recipients are effective through advanced insights/ analytics and rendering the way we want it to across email clients and devices through testing. Without a dedicated email designer who knows how to use litmus, we are limited in the way we interact with litmus. We understand there's lots of other great features on litmus that we aren't using so it would help if there was more training on how to make the most of litmus for beginners through to advanced users
Simplicity + power. Drip is one of the quickest platforms to use in terms of setting up simple drip email sequences. Yet it also packs enormous power if you need to do complex automation.
Drip's direct integrations with other systems mean you can easily create hyper-personalized communications and anybody can set this up.
Drip's Javascript embed is easy to setup and great for helping to build deeper insights into customer behavior as well as triggering automation.
Litmus is a must have tool to use for testing your email design in many email clients at once. Super easy and fast.
It's very easy to send a link to a project manager to proof an email. They can make comments and ask questions right on the proof and Litmus will send me email notices of any proof comments or an approval.
I absolutely love the drag ad drop snippets that allows me to quickly build any email I need, from simple to complex.
I wish the email lists were "sticky" when inside folders: I have to click on "display 100" emails to see all my versions and when I go back, I have to click on the display option again.
The Spam Test email list would be great as a importable data extension
It would be great to see a single email display multiple versions based on the personalization/dynamic content coded into it. One Proof for a dynamic email but the different versions of content could expand out.
It's offering me more than any other email proof software I've heard of! I also really appreciate how Litmus gives back to the email development community via their content creation. I want better marketing and marketing email in the world, and Litmus is working towards that goal. So, yeah, they're good folks with a good product!
Litmus has integrations that make the software an integrated part of my work every day. Being able to test right within my email builder is just brilliant. Daily I also use the web interface to review analytics and spam testing. Overall it is one of the pieces of software I use daily without any complaints or issues.
We have never had a problem with Litmus being unavailable so I would say their availability is fantastic. There might have been one time years ago that the site was down briefly but it also might have been a server issue on my end. Either way, Litmus was back up and running in a very short time
As with all technology, there are inevitably use-cases where you are unable to get to your original goal without some good old-fashioned experimenting. Some situations will (and are) more urgent which complicates an effective integration of a new process or a new team using an existing process but the "issues" are regularly resolved by re-starting the process specific to when Litmus is introduced to a project. If it doesn't come out the way you're anticipating, run it again and verify there is an issue before declaring all is lost
Again, this is dependent on the use case. If you are a small- to medium-sized business that doesn't have a sales team, this is likely a great product for you. It is also a good price compared to larger enterprise software. Other software I have used worked better for other companies I worked for, but Drip fits best for my current company.
Litmus is sooooooo much better. EOA may have one or two clients that Litmus does not, but regardless, it's far superior. More stable, easier to navigate, prettier to look at, the list goes on and on. The only downside here is the difference in cost, but if your company is footing the bill, Litmus is the hands down winner.
With our enterprise account, scalability is not an issue. I have not yet seen or heard of significant issues with user access, API connections for integrations etc. This includes down time for "Scheduled Maintenance" as some providers call them, Litmus has the technology backing to support a global team with a 24-hour workday across regions
