Read full review I think that overall Litmus is a great tool, and all of the functionality it does have it works extremely well. Additionally, I think that for the price that it costs, it is well worth the money to make sure our users have a quality experience with our emails. I do wish, however, that Litmus would start implementing new tools to help with the stricter spam guidelines that are being put in place across different email providers, and offer advice on how to increase your likelihood of avoiding spam.
Read full review Pros Simplicity + power. Drip is one of the quickest platforms to use in terms of setting up simple drip email sequences. Yet it also packs enormous power if you need to do complex automation. Drip's direct integrations with other systems mean you can easily create hyper-personalized communications and anybody can set this up. Drip's Javascript embed is easy to setup and great for helping to build deeper insights into customer behavior as well as triggering automation. The entire process is streamlined and efficient. From a campaign manager perspective and the one QA'ing emails - there's truly zero learning curve. It's so easy to jump in and figure out how to manage and work, which is not always the case for software! Read full review Cons Possibly more email design templates for "new" users to automation, HTML coding, integrations, webhooks, etc. Any supported integration partners are always good to see. They have expanded in this area, recently. Some sort of WYSIWYG, drag-and-drop email editor, wouldn't hurt. Sometimes, when trying to implement advanced HTML coding to an email template, the code doesn't stick, save or format as "native HTML." Read full review It would be great if there was an integration where we could make necessary changes in Litmus and update Klaviyo. A better understanding of ways to optimize - things may be good as is, but what are ways that we can improve it for a better-sending reputation? Sometimes the app in Chrome is clunky. Read full review Likelihood to Renew It's offering me more than any other email proof software I've heard of! I also really appreciate how Litmus gives back to the email development community via their content creation. I want better marketing and marketing email in the world, and Litmus is working towards that goal. So, yeah, they're good folks with a good product!
Read full review Usability Litmus has integrations that make the software an integrated part of my work every day. Being able to test right within my email builder is just brilliant. Daily I also use the web interface to review analytics and spam testing. Overall it is one of the pieces of software I use daily without any complaints or issues.
Read full review Reliability and Availability We have never had a problem with Litmus being unavailable so I would say their availability is fantastic. There might have been one time years ago that the site was down briefly but it also might have been a server issue on my end. Either way, Litmus was back up and running in a very short time
Read full review Performance As with all technology, there are inevitably use-cases where you are unable to get to your original goal without some good old-fashioned experimenting. Some situations will (and are) more urgent which complicates an effective integration of a new process or a new team using an existing process but the "issues" are regularly resolved by re-starting the process specific to when Litmus is introduced to a project. If it doesn't come out the way you're anticipating, run it again and verify there is an issue before declaring all is lost
Read full review In-Person Training It was very informative one on one session for me. I was able to use Litmus without any issues.
Read full review Online Training It has all the required information.
Read full review Implementation Rating I didn’t really personally participate much in the implementation of Litmus, but from what I observed during the process, it was a smooth process with minimal disruptions. The team was able to get up and running quickly, and the platform’s user-friendly interface made onboarding fairly easy for everyone involved from the start.
Read full review Alternatives Considered Again, this is dependent on the use case. If you are a small- to medium-sized business that doesn't have a sales team, this is likely a great product for you. It is also a good price compared to larger enterprise software. Other software I have used worked better for other companies I worked for, but Drip fits best for my current company.
Read full review We currently use both
Everest and Litmus. In my opinion, the way our team uses Litmus would rank in second place compared to
Everest .
Everest not only reports on deliverability, feedback loops, spam traps, block listings, domain and IP reputation, and so much more, but it also shows inboxing trends for our brands and competitors, AND it has (almost) the same pre-send rendering checks as Litmus (i.e. rendering HTML across mailbox providers, mobile and tablet devices, and desktops).
Read full review Scalability With our enterprise account, scalability is not an issue. I have not yet seen or heard of significant issues with user access, API connections for integrations etc. This includes down time for "Scheduled Maintenance" as some providers call them, Litmus has the technology backing to support a global team with a 24-hour workday across regions
Read full review Return on Investment Saves hours of typing redundant emails Helps with our retention based on the constant contact with our current clients Keeps our prospects up to date as we move through the stages of the sales cycle which also increases our capacity to handle more volume. Read full review Saves time in finding out emails aren't rendering for a certain contacts. Sometimes people bring it up to the person managing the company's reply email, but the emails already sent out. Hard to calculate attribution to ROI, but thee tool isn't expensive. It is worth taking the extra few minutes to test your emails before sending that you can't do with just a test email. Instead of emailing 10 different test email clients, you can do it on one platform which saves you the tedious and time-consuming task of testing in each client.
