Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
Litmus is being used in Tangerine by Developers and Software testers. It is used to check the emails in development on various desktop and mobile clients. Also, we use it to test on various mail platforms like Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, etc. Testing team use it for all new developments to be tested in different browsers.
Pros
- Browser testing is possible on Litmus.
- Mobile testing can be done on various devices and modes.
- Issues like cropping of images and content can be captured
- Emails in development can be tested efficiently on different platforms before sending to production.
Cons
- It could be better if links can be tested in Litmus.
- Functionalities cannot be tested on Litmus.
- Litmus is restricted to test display: UI only.
- Saves a lot of time in mobile testing
- Provides good value for money when utilized to full extent.
- Saves resources in defect capturing.

Litmus provides full capacity for testing without any additional software requirements. We can test and develop emails using it and take screensots for sign-offs.
Litmus has contributed well in developing all marketing emails being sent out by our bank. It also helps by providing a checklist and accessibility issues.
As a tester, I am using a checklist to drive my testing and enter issues accordingly. As a team, we review and solve the issues for the required fixes.
Litmus is better than BrowserStack. BrowserStack has limited features when compared to Litmus.

The basic knowledge about mobile and desktop clients is required to use litmus. Testers should know how to use litmus with a screenshot capture tool to enter any defects. Developers and QA team should have knowledge of accessibility and mobile testing.

Yes - It replaced BrowserStack because more options for testing are offered by Litmus when compared to BrowserStack. It covers mobile and accessibility testing too along with browser testing.

Product feature is the most important factor in my decision to use Litmus because it covers almost all testing requirements when doing any new emails or campaigns for our bank.
I would evaluate it more on the basis of aceesibilty testing features because this is the new requirement our bank has to accomplish for all new developments.

When Litmus was upgraded to a new vesion and I was not quite sure to use all of the features, I got a good support for my question from the support team.
