Likelihood to Recommend GlobalMeet is well suited for an organization that wants a simple web conference platform with no added features. It seems like this is the way to go if you want to not spend a lot of money for a service. GlobalMeet is not well suited for large organizations, or someone who needs to host multiple meetings and needs robust features such as attendance tracking, presentation sharing, and ease of use.
Read full review It's highly suitable for hosting large-scale virtual events like industry conferences, product launches, and training sessions where engaging a dispersed audience is crucial. The platform's interactive features such as polls, Q&A, and surveys make it ideal for enhancing audience participation and feedback collection. Moreover, it's excellent for businesses conducting regular webinars for lead generation, sales presentations, or educational purposes. Its analytics help in assessing attendee engagement and refining content strategies. However, it might be less appropriate for smaller, more intimate meetings where real-time collaboration and video conferencing take precedence over one-to-many presentations. In such cases, simpler and more direct communication tools might be preferred. Additionally, if a company requires highly specialised integrations or customisation options beyond what GoToWebinar offers, they might find limitations within the platform. Lastly, for organisations with stringent security needs or those operating in highly regulated industries, they might need to ensure that GoToWebinar's security measures align with their specific compliance requirements before use.
Read full review Pros Easy to use system for business conference calls Recording feature useful to playback information from the meeting Accessibility of domestic and international call in numbers make it possible for participants to call in no matter where they are traveling or located. Read full review It is reliable when sharing content for webinars. It allows nice interaction with the attendees by having different features such as polls, chat, open mic or cam. It is user friendly and intuitive, which makes it so easy to use and understand. Read full review Cons There is a cost for the conferencing services unlike competitors like FreeConferenceCall.com or Skype which have free options. However, you pay for what you get and the audio/connection quality can and has been an issue for us with other vendors. There are a lot of shortcuts that can be used on the line to mute/unmute lines, record the audio, request operator assistance, etc. However, these are difficult to memorize so we end up forgetting or relying on a print-out of the shortcuts that we keep near our desks. I wish there was an easier way to use these such as voice commands. In the post-conference email recaps you get the phone numbers of those who dialed in. However, it can be difficult to know who these numbers belong to unless you remember the direct #s for the participants. I wish there was a way to save contact info for certain phone numbers within the system and let GlobalMeet add the names to the numbers for all future post-conference emails. Read full review Dashboard for control are mostly intuitive but in some menus like the webcasting section can be cluttered The current polling and survey capabilities are too simple. More advanced features, such as branching logic and real-time results, would make engagement more dynamic and insightful. Although it's easy for organiser to use goto webinar, users have reported issues and long wait time on their end and they don't have much control over the session Read full review Likelihood to Renew GlobalMeet is not a very good tool. There are better web meeting platforms available in the marketplace. The system is clunky, not intuitive, and experiences often technical issues. They have made updates recently but it is too little too late. It may be a good platform for smaller organizations with tighter budgets.
Read full review Our largest issue with GoTo have been the limitations on recording and using recordings to host a webinar, and the biggest of those is the ability to record. We have had most of our webinars recorded successfully, but when it failed to save, it failed in a big way. Their customer service team was there to help, but they were unable to truly fix the problem. There are, of course, other providers, but as we are still seeing where hosted webinars fit in our marketing strategy, cost is an important factor. Since our company already uses GoToMeeting, it makes more sense for us to stay with the entire suite of products, especially while we are testing the strategy as a whole.
Read full review Usability I have provided such a high rating because setting up the meeting only requires a few clicks. Within a couple minutes of telling my team that I will set up a meeting and send an invite, that invitation is already sitting in their inbox. I move at a fast pace and GlobalMeet is keeping up

The reliability of the platform in terms of connection stability, audio quality, and video clarity contributes to overall usability. A dependable connection ensures a smooth experience for both hosts and participants.
Read full review Reliability and Availability We have never had an issue with the availability of GlobalMeet. It has always been available when we needed it.
Read full review Performance For the most part GlobalMeet loaded everything quickly. The only problem that we had was when the whole company was on a training at one time, we had a hard time with screen sharing and the pages loading in a timely manner. Everything seemed to slow down when lots of people were on the system at once
Read full review Support Rating As previously mentioned, I was in charge of facilitating a weekly meeting with 60 attendees. I had major issues with the screenshare crashing repeatedly during the meeting. I got in contact with a GlobalMeet Technician immediately. He was extremely responsive and worked with my technician to resolve all of the issues quickly. After his intervention, I never had the same issue again.
Read full review I was always able to get someone on the phone when I needed to. They were very thorough and ensuring my questions were answered. And if I was asking for a solution or request that they didn't offer, they told me so I could at least stop trying to search for it.
Read full review Implementation Rating GlobalMeet was easy to get set up with the company and starting to use.
Read full review I didn't participate in the implementation nor did my company. As far as I know we have an IT office running alla these projects and we just use the final products for our educational purposes. I also didn't notice implementation at any level while using the desktop interface, but would immediately recognize it, if so.
Read full review Alternatives Considered I was not involved in the purchasing decision, but choose GlobalMeet over
Skype in some situations since not all organizations permit their colleagues to join other
Skype environments. WebEx is not widely deployed in the organization. I have just started using Teams, and I am not as familiar with using it yet. However, I have had success with joining other organizations that use Teams on a call. It is disappointing that functionality such as the whiteboard is not mutually available in those situations (yet).
