Although I was not involved in the TIBCO Data Virtualization purchase process, I believe that without this tool we would not have the results that we currently have. Currently we can have a robust data virtualization that guarantees good performance and data management from multiple sources and it is also positive that we can have a robust and fast connection with other TIBCO and third-party software without any problem, for these reasons I believe that It was a very good purchase decision and it is also a very good idea to continue implementing it in many other departments due to recent success in terms of robust data processing.

As per the example of a 1-day delivery program for customers' online orders, you need to ensure that orders should be processed within the time limit so that they can be handed over to the courier partner on time. If there is any delay in process or handover product can't be delivered on time which led to poor customer experience. For this, you need data of pending orders for every hour so that they can be processed on time and we can manage work accordingly. TIBCO is useful in this case and improved our customer experience.

We need to forecast business decisions and have many different data sources that are used across our organization. We need to pull the data into one location for many business users to access. The data changes quite frequently so it was imperative to be able to update the data quickly without much user intervention as the data changed. TIBCO Data Virtualization is able to pull the data in and update the reports and dashboards with the new data seamlessly. Without TIBCO Data Virtualization it would take so much more time to gather the data from multiple sources, analyze the data, and create the reports to disseminate to the decision-makers.

[TIBCO Data Virtualization] solved many issues, we used to collect and analyze data from different sources, internally and externally, that effort was time consuming and not always efficient. Without [TIBCO Data Virtualization] we [wouldn't have grown] this much and we would've been way behind our competitors.

We used it to manage our data and we use it to generate insights and spot trends. Without this software, we would have a need to do it manually and it would be not as efficient and effective on the operations. It has saved us a lot of time and money.

We rely on multiple data sources to get our data - some are in-house and some are from external sources. These data points cannot be readily used since we need to sanitize this data and rid it of any sensitive information (PII in specific). Post this, necessary transformations had to be applied and then have the data ready for slicing & dicing. This process was very resource-intensive and prone to a lot of human errors. Needless to say the amount of time quality checking this data added to a significant cost. Some of these aspects forced us to look at automated ways to get this done.

We were using Excel to view raw data and decisions were difficult to be made from raw data. Plus we have data from multiple data sources and we wanted a tool where we can bring together data from different locations into one dataset, and build reports and visualizations from the dataset as one data truth.

It has been a reliable tool that gives us great solutions for handling errors. As the name implies the tool has served its purpose of Data Virtualization in the most methodical way possible which is a great advantage for me as a user because now I do not feel the need for another tool for my organization because this one structurally suffices the required needs.

Its overall cost was one of the factors that encouraged us to buy the tool for our daily data virtualization needs. On top of that, effective support system and trained consulting service were some of the key factors to purchase the tool. Because if we are stuck somewhere we know we have a backup out there who knows how to solve the problem.

TIBCO lives up to expectations with this product. The forms and the web pages are customizable to a great extent. Data visualization is something that easily grabs attention. Also the Tech support is pretty good as well. This was earlier Cisco federation, now TIBCO Data Virtualization is really good when you don't want to migrate data to another system but want to directly use the data from another db. We are using in combination with Greenplum and Db2.

We purchased TIBCO Data Virtualization to supplement our data governance initiative. We needed a way to pull in various data sources, push the data downstream, and reflect it back to end users for consumption once the data had been cleansed/transformed. If we did not purchase the solution, we would be creating integrations internally to address the needs. The development time would have been overwhelming and would not have allowed us to meet the deadlines required.

[TIBCO Data Virtualization] was brought in packaged with spotfire. We had some spreadsheets that we were hitting the 1,000,000 row limit in excel and needed a tool to manage that data go forward. Instead of connecting spotfire directly to those data sources, we used [TIBCO Data Virtualization] as a data layer between the primary source system and spotfire for analysis. It meant that we only had to build our queries once, and could reuse them in multiple analysis.

Prior to Data Virtualization we moved data from multiple sources using flat files, ODBC and scripts. Each new source was a major undertaking. Using Data Virtualization enabled one solution to connect to all of our sources and move data more efficiently and on a common platform.
