Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I'm on the hunt for the benefits of each CRM software I'm want to compare. In addition, I want to know the hard part of the learning process and the comparative difficulties the software presents. This information helps me to understand how each software works and decide which one of them I could finish buying, with the best spectated performance.
In first place, having reviews as a resource gives me knowledge of the software products that are on the market at each sector, with insight into the activities people are usually doing with each product. At second place is the possibility of knowing the best and the worst of any software. I want to know how it works, if I will have some trouble, as well as about the community, support and pricing. The impact of having reviews is the accuracy of my buying selection. Once I select a group of software for comparison, finally I get to see the best and worst software and the price for each of them, giving me the possibility to make my final decision under my annual budget.

I like to know what is the use of the software, what's the most significant advantage the software gives, and what are the most common difficulties in using the software. With all this information I can get a big picture view of the software and how I could use it, whether or not it's what I'm looking for, and how I might deal with the difficulties that are spectated.
The review value is huge, because at this moment I'm in the process of selecting a new software system, and I need to get a very good idea of how the software behaves, the very best performing aspects and the particularities. I need to decide whether to invest in a support team or not. And having access to reviews impacts my process in a positive way because it gives me an entire view of any software I want to invest in - pricing, computer requirements, internet connection and internal system configuration requirements, etc.

I prefer reviews that showcase a decent understanding of the need for the tool, along with detailed descriptions on how the tool is being used. Many times, reviews can be really generic, especially the positive ones, which makes you wonder what is driving the review. I appreciate that TrustRadius tries to get at the elements that matter when help one make a sound purchasing decision.
It's incredibly valuable, if the reviews are thorough and specific. As I noted, I'm just seeing what options there are for UTM management. It appears each platform is built to support a particular use-case, so I need to be careful in what I choose. Reviews are certainly needed in this effort.

I look for comparison information and details on pitfalls, best practices, and product misinformation or misconceptions.
[Having reviews is] Invaluable, especially now that in the Marketing Operations arena - the sheer number of providers for specific tools or solutions is ever expanding, making it harder to narrow the best fit solution.

Real-world examples that give a balanced look at benefits and drawbacks with specific details explaining how the product affected the task at hand. Long-term feedback that shows how the application was able to grow and adapt to the business' changing requirements.
Having user reviews cuts through the marketing jargon that the products use and paint a more relatable, real-world picture of day-to-day use of the solution. The sales teams from these products are obviously biased whereas real companies have no motivation to oversell a product.

I was looking for end-user insight into the day-to-day use of MAPs, as well as executive-level insight on the reporting and dashboard capabilities and platform ROI. It was extremely useful to be able to filter platform reviews by the reviewer's company size, industry, department, job type, role, experience level and post date. This saved me a ton of time in the long run and helped us ultimately make a well-informed decision that resulted in a 133% cost savings.
Reviews are critical in the B2B buying process as they provide necessary insight (pros/cons, capabilities/lack thereof) across various use cases/roles that are impossible to glean during trial periods. Quality reviews make the software purchase process much more scalable.

Ratings are just not enough to take decisions. There are many instances where an exceptionally rated product would not be of much use in certain scenarios. In-depth reviews are the need of the hour considering a variety of teams and variety of requirements. Any review of the product which explains the scenarios where the product is used is highly valuable, rather that a review which has only a rating.
Previously business decisions were made just by referrals or they are forced by salespeople. Slowly that trend has started to change. Review websites are helping take decisions best suited for the business by considering reviews from people who have been in similar conditions.

What I look for in reviews is basically what the reviewer thinks of the software. More so I concentrate a lot on cons, where I evaluate the challenges given that one encounters while using the softwares and issues concerning support and the response given by the vendor while consulting on a number of issues that may arise.
Reviews ensure you make the right decision and you acquire the best software based on the company needs and preferences. Having access to reviews improved my general understanding and perception towards the various software clusters.

I'm ideally looking for people describing that they are in a similar situation that I am in. If they can describe how they use the product on a day to day basis that helps me envision how I will use it. Also, any reviews describing some of the hurdles or limitations help as well.
I wouldn't consider buying something without reading a review first.

When we see the reviews we look for opinions about the characteristics of the software that matter most to us, focusing initially on the functional part, then on the infrastructure and development. We thoroughly review the cons, feature rating comparison, usability and what other alternatives exist. With that information we set up our evaluation matrix.
Having the information of people who have already tried the software who can tell you what are strong characteristics and weaknesses, helps you to have a clear vision of what the software can do and you do not limit yourself to what the seller tells you. Their opinion alone, without insurance, can make you acquire a product that does not really meet the needs of end users and more than helping or streamlining the processes in the organization becomes a problem and with a waste of money and time.

The reviews need to provide a clear description of what the software was used for, how the implementation worked, and the impact it had on the organization.
The reviews gave substance and texture to the rankings. It helped me position a product in relative merit to other products.

I look for what other users think and I see the short and accurate reviews as most valuable.
Having reviews adds a lot of value because you can make the best decision in terms of quality and price and spend less money. The impact for me was good because other users talk about how good the programs that I want to buy can be and it is easy to access and search.

This is a crucial part of the decision making process as were are discussing within the team if this is the right fit for us.
It was very important that we read the reviews of actual, vetted users of the software. It would be to easy for a company to saturate a user site with fake reviews pushing the negative ones down the list or making it seem as if they're were mainly positive reviews and only a few negative ones.

I'm trying to save time looking at the experience of the other people. Time is really valuable, and years of experience of a company on a certain product has no price. If a review describes pros and cons, and if there are features mentioned that we are looking for, that would be the best kind of review.
With different opinions it is going to be easier to make a decision or at least to start an evaluation. I found pretty interesting reviews that helped to ask the right questions to the sales engineer. That information is quite hard to find online or in any documentation, because it comes from real life experience.

I am looking for honest feedback and I like the anecdotal approach of the experience, since reading the true opinions facilitates decision making as to whether it is the most convenient product or not.
Having reviews adds a lot of value when making decisions in terms of quality and economic sustainability over time. The impact for me was good because I could know through the users how good the tool is and if it fulfills the purpose that is required.

I looked for reviews from companies like mine (enterprise and global), and also scanned the lowest and highest-rated reviews. The Pros and Cons checklist in each review is great for scanning quick features, benefits, and also bug reports. Reviewers give their usage case and what they love and hate about the service. Many also mentioned competing vendors and how moving from one vendor to another solved or created problems.
This is huge! It's like reading reviews on Amazon before buying a new gadget. Honest, real user reviews can make all the difference. Salespeople (of course) will gloss over or ignore the faults of their solution, but users talk about it all. Great transparency!

When looking for a review I want one that not only highlights the pros of a product, but also details what wasn't quite right, or what can be improved in the product. Reviews that gloss over the negatives are not as useful. Also, to understand real use cases of the product is extremely valuable.
The value of having an honest review of a product is huge! Without a review, you have to go by the advertiser's views which, for obvious reasons, are skewed towards making you think the product is exactly what you need. It is important to have unbiased opinions.

I look at the role of the review writer, the size and industry of their company, their experience, and the positive and negative aspects of the software that they share. I want to find reviewers with experience and responsibility similar to mine and who have had an implementation that has had similar scope as I expect to have.
Reviews and feedback from people who have used the software is a key part of my decision process. I look for reviews that are balanced but frank and open. The TrustRadius reviews allow me to identify products that I do not want to waste time with in the review process.

I look for short reviews, mainly ones built as pros and cons. I value suggestions and comments, and seeing how people see this product in relation to others, things like "this is much better product than XYZ because..."
Reviews are actually the MOST important part of the buying process. There's nothing like reading a good review. I usually take my time and read at least 20 reviews before coming to a decision, both good or bad.

I look for reviews that go into details on the product in efforts to give possible future users a quick insight. There is nothing worse than setting up a program/product that I want to use to later find out that the product is unable to do exactly what I need it to do. Using TrustRadius, I was able to avoid this pitfall.
Having reviews as a resource during the buying process is top on my to-do list because I do not think that I should have to perform trial and error especially in today's world. Having reviews cuts down my time and allows me to be more productive and efficient in the buying process.

We looked for reviews which described the product benefits beyond the content on the vendor website. The most valuable reviews described the changes brought about in the company after implementation. After that, reviews which highlighted fatal flaws were extremely useful.
Looking at other's real world reviews actually broadened our requirements and helped us to then become even more specific about our business needs. Features are only useful when described through experiences.

I mainly look for what is negative in the reviews. All the positive things that are mentioned are already highlighted by the company website. Of course, I also read the positive parts but what is not working and the limitations of a product or service is for me most important.
Very positive [impact on my experience during the buying process]. I think reviews and recommendations when buying new products is by far the best option.

When I read the reviews, I particularly look for user experience and the pros and cons of using the solutions. I am also interested in the personal comparisons that users and reviewers did especially in the features vs. cost area. Sometimes reviewers go to the extent of suggesting how to effectively use a product in a particular industry.
It is important to know that there are others who had experience in the listed products and solutions. The more reviews the better for me to determine the authenticity of their claims.

I would say it helped us reduce cost as we ended up picking a vendor with favorable reviews and it actually costs less than our previous selection. Our leadership team was satisfied with the outcome.
