Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use Workforce Now (WFN) for time clock, payroll, paid time off, and benefit administration. We implemented WFN in 2016 to give better visibility to our employees for paid time off and benefits. Employees love the user-friendliness and the mobile app for reviewing and requesting time off, pay statements, etc. This solution helped organize our HR records in one searchable, secure database.
  • Mobile app gives users real-time view of time off and pay statements on their time.
  • The standard and custom reporting features provide nearly unlimited data for most everything.
  • WFN provides a robust HR solution/functionality for smaller companies who have outgrown paper files.
  • The interfaces from WFN to some of the legacy systems are little bulky (i.e., Support, Tax & Banking).
  • Uploading pay batches is not always straightforward.
  • Tax reports for local jurisdictions are not easily available.
  • WFN is more expensive by about 20% compared to our previous payroll company.
  • WFN saves time for our accountant to enter payroll data into our general ledger. We have a WFN file which loads into QuickBooks (QB) and our accountant has saved 4-5 hours each month with G/L entries. The data is moved real-time from WFN to QB which assists in keeping our financial statements current.
  • WFN saves time for payroll management, which was a very manual process. Additionally, employees are able to view immediately pay statements, time off, and other things through the self-service portal, which has reduced the amount of time spent answering employee questions.
We used a local payroll company who used a variation of Kronos. Not sure which one. It was a very manual system with many interfaces and poor reporting.
WFN is well suited to our business, which has approximately 65 employees working in five departments in eight locations. We operate in two states and five municipalities. WFN handles all of this extremely well, except for the local jurisdictions. Time and attendance does not track hours worked by employees who travel from one local jurisdiction to a different jurisdiction on different days. Overall, WFN handles our HR, time clock, payroll, and benefits very efficiently.
