Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use ADP Workforce Now across the whole organization. It addresses time and attendance, finance, accounting, payroll, benefits, and recruiting.
  • Time & Attendance - It's easy to navigate, shows the employee weekly and daily hours.
  • Benefits Module - It has been very user-friendly and eliminated multiple paper processes.
  • Recruiting Module - it's easy to use, keeps track of applicants and send messages through text or e:mail.
  • It would be nice if after Benefit Open Enrollment ADP could calculate benefit rates from the old year (based on how many days are being paid ) and rates from the new year on the first paycheck in the new year. I had to manually calculate each employee's benefits.
  • The Termination Wizard does not calculate benefit cost correctly on employees' final paychecks.
  • I am unable to answer this question. This is better answered by finance.
ADP Workforce Now has been great. I installed two modules in Q4 2019, and we are ready to work on another in Q1.
  • Recruiting Module
  • Benefits Module
  • SASS
The Recruiting module was an easy implementation and a short learning curve to come up to speed. The Benefits Module was installed during our annual open enrollment, which was intense. Our Implementation specialist was AWESOME! With her assistance, I was able to install the module and have a successful open enrollment!
ADP Run is for smaller companies and there are fewer features available with it. However, if you have a small company and you need a payroll system, it is a great system and very user-friendly.
When I call into Customer Support, at times I get someone who just doesn't understand what I am asking and goes off in another direction. There are times I have called and get different answers. I would say 80% of the time, I get a very helpful and friendly associate, who understands what I need and is able to assist. Unfortunately, there have been times, when I have had to call three times to get a hold of someone who understood what I was asking for.
ADP Workforce Now is a great payroll system, and I like the different modules. I think reporting features work well, but it would be nice if there were more standardized reports for Recruiting metrics.

1 - Good business administration skills.
HR experience
Good PC and technology skills
  • Benefits Administration
  • Payroll Processing
  • Finance/GL/auditing
  • Reporting on employees

I use ADP everyday, it's intuitive and easy to use software. I like the Bridge feature and am to find answers instead of calling customer service.

Evaluating ADP Workforce Now and Competitors

Yes - PayCor. I was told the reason was the functionality with ADP was better.
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Prior Experience with the Product
  • Vendor Reputation
  • Third-party Reviews
I was not employed at my company when the decision was made, but I heard it was because of prior positive experience.
I had previous ADP experience and if I was to be involved, I would weigh heavily on my experience with ADP. It has been positive and helpful.

ADP Workforce Now Implementation

I was not an employee when they implemented ADP. I am unable to answer this question.
Change management was minimal
  • I was not an employee at the time, so I am unable to answer this question

ADP Workforce Now Training

I was not an employee when ADP Workforce Now was installed, however I was the person in charge of installing both the Recruiting and Benefits modules. The recruiting module is an user friendly module. I was able to create training based on the guides that were provided and trained my leadership team on how to access and use the Recruiting module.

The Benefits module was much tougher, there was many more intricate parts to this process of implementation. However, I had the BEST implementation specialist, Monica Hooker. She was fabulous and was very helpful in guiding myself and our benefits broker through our first Open enrollment and implementation.

Configuring ADP Workforce Now

I think that ADP Workforce Now is a little between being just right and complex. Some areas in the system are very easy to navigate through and figure out. However, there are other areas that are more complex and need a a representative to guide you through to make sure no errors will occur. Especially payroll, this is an error that must be accurate and work every time.
I would recommend that any Human Resources or Payroll specialist that is working in ADP Workforce Now be knowledgeable in their field. I feel that is why I was successful is because I was knowledge in how something works, just not the specifics in how ADP Workforce Now completes these steps in the system.
Yes - we have customized the interface extensively - The ADP Home Page was extremely easy to use. I was able to add colors, hyperlinks to pictures or words. I loved it! I enjoyed taking on this task and putting useful quick links or information on the home page for our employees to access easily. I enjoy knowing all the features of WFN.
No - we have not done any custom code
I do not have any additional information to share about configuration or customization. As to my knowledge we have not changed anything. I do find that ADP Customer Service representatives are particularly helpful in answering any questions about features and what can or cannot be done. I have given several product feedback information. I'm hopeful that they will continue to upgrade the system based on this feedback.

ADP Workforce Now Support

No
The cost associated in Comprehensive Services is too high for the current size of our company. Perhaps in the future.
Yes - I use the "Product Feedback" feature, but I never do hear back regarding a "bug" or a "wizard" that is not working correctly.
Yes, Joaunte Knight, is a customer service representative who has helped me on several occasions. She was able to help me correct an existing/ongoing time off balance issue with our employees "Float Time". She was able to determine what happened and help correct the employees time off. Another time she was able to help me set up a brand new time off policy and walked me through the process so that I was able to do it myself the next time. She is an exceptionally bright and helpful ADP rep.! I was very appreciative in her support.

Yes - We have not turned on this feature yet, we are rolling it out the end of Q3 2020. I'm looking forward to it.

ADP Workforce Now Reliability

I have not have any experiences that ADP Workforce Now as unavailable for any reason. It has been a very reliable system that myself and other members in both HR and Finance utilize on an everyday basis. I am able to log in easily and log out multiple times a day, everyday of the week.
I would give the system a 10. Reports run particularly fast. I am often asked for "rushed" data on employees. I am able to go right into the Reporting feature, pull the report(s) that I am looking for. I am able to download them in several different formats and quickly send them off to senior leadership when asked.

Integrating ADP Workforce Now

We currently use the SASS, the Screening and Selection Service. It was a seamless integrated product. I was trained by an implementation specialist and it was very easy to start using and get candidates through the process of background and drug testing. I did not have any issues with the initial integration of the product.
  • Performance Management Vendor/Partner
  • Recruiting Management Vendor/Partner
Yes, the three vendors that we are currently looking at for the Performance Management software are ADP partners and their software will integrate directly within ADP Workforce Now. This is one of the only reasons we are looking at them. They have more detailed and advanced features we are looking for, but will be directly integrated within ADP.

The same with the Recruiting module.
  • File import/export

I recommend that anyone integrating a new piece of software, to make sure you know how to reach that person or the support desk to answer follow up questions. The implementation specialist that I have worked with through ADP have been fabulous! I know that luck wasn't the only factor. I am constantly impressed by the professionalism of the the employees that I interact with and their breadth of knowledge.
