Overall Satisfaction with Atera

Atera is used by our operations and technical support department to monitor and manage the dedicated computers that are installed at our client's parking facilities which are geographically spread across the US.
  • Remote Monitoring: the agent gathers many different metrics of the system.
  • Remote and Automated Patch management: it is easy to see which systems need patching and use scripts to make sure they are installed.
  • Alerts: The alert system allows us to go about other tasks and be notified when a problem exists.
  • Logging in with 2FA is a good feature but the screen auto submits when the last number is entered. We often don't have a chance to click the "keep me logged in" checkbox.
  • It would be helpful to have the option of receiving a text message when an alert is sent.
  • We would be unable to keep up with our systems management without RMM and Atera fits the bill exactly.
  • The pricing structure is great since it focuses on the number of techs and not the number of installs.
When we started evaluating RMM software, Atera was recommended to us by a trusted partner. It was the first system we tried and since it works so well and is so intuitive, we didn't look past it.
Atera works the way we do. We can easily understand the overall health at one location or one client. The dashboard is intuitive, as are the scripting and other management tools. All of this means less training time for new staff and more support.
We have experienced a large growth in the number of installations over the course of the last year. Having a known and fixed cost per tech means we can expand our client base without increased licensing (until we add more staff).
Atera is very well suited for the remote monitoring and maintenance of a distributed install base. Although there are features that focus on "service management as a product" (invoices, accounts, etc.), because they don't have relevance to our situation, I can't speak to how well they work. Scripting and automation are very good features and are used often.
