Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

We are currently implementing AvaTax for Communications for our OnStar division. Our current system wide tax engine is not specific to telecom, whereas the AvaTax for Communications platform is.
  • Implementation team is very responsive and helpful!
  • The system is very user-friendly.
  • Love the enhanced functionality we will have with this new system.
  • At this time, I don't have a lot to add here since we are in the middle of implementing and have not gone live.
  • More streamlined tax calculations
  • Fewer overrides
  • More streamlined return preparation
Implementation is still a WIP, but so far the team has been amazing. Very helpful with troubleshooting, super responsive, and willing to set aside time for training purposes.

I cannot add too much to this process since I have not worked on that part of the team.
The Viewer and the Rate Manager platforms are very user friendly (once you get the hang of maneuvering through the system). Avalara provides very detailed and easy to understand user manuals, as well as has a great support team to field questions.
