Overall Satisfaction with AVI-SPL

Manage technology in classrooms and meeting rooms. Regularly work with AVI-SPL to maintain existing equipment as well as discuss projects to upgrade individual components as well as projects to overhaul whole rooms to ensure professors are equipped with the best equipment for teaching courses in online formats or a hybrid in-person and online format.
  • Customer service is top notch.
  • Field reps are on time and know what they're doing.
  • Communication is in a timely manner.
  • Try and limit the number of reps a customer talks to when service requests are submitted.
  • Provide some prefilled material to allow for customer-based troubleshooting.
  • Ensure healthy life work balance so you won't lose your great employees.
  • Do away with the 4 hour minimum charge on service calls. That's a killer for my budget.
  • Maintaining equipment to ensure we fulfill or objectives (positive).
  • The length of time problems persist due to cost (negative).
  • Great customer service from all parties interacted with which makes for a great work environment on my end.
This hasn't been a goal of ours in working with AVI-SPL. We initially installed the equipment to allow for hybrid type classrooms and AVI-SPL has been good at helping us maintain this.

Well suited - They know the industry. Hands down. Have access to the best equipment at the best prices. Are very thorough in their tasks and will do what needs to be done so that the customer has what is needed.

Less appropriate - We're too small for a company this size. We get lost amongst the other larger companies they support. The one size fits all pricing for service makes it difficult for an organization our size and means that at times we have problems that persist longer than necessary because we can't afford dropping the 4 hour minimum fee on just 1 issue so we allow the problems to accrue so to best use the budget we have on repairs.
