Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

Raiser's Edge is the backbone of our development and alumni relations operations. It helps us to track donors, prospects, volunteers, and alumni in an efficient way. It is easy to use for users of all levels of technical skills but still powerful enough to solve high end more technical issues.
  • Track Donations.
  • Track engagement and prospect data.
  • Export and import to and from other applications.
  • Further enhancements of the NXT view query ability for more complicated lists.
  • Increased fields and filters in the Insight builder.
  • Easier integration through API or training of users from Blackbaud on that Aspecy.
  • Easy to use for any level of user.
  • Cloud based security and ease of connection.
  • Portfolio and prospect management.
  • We have seen more time in the system by fundraisers.
  • Ability for users to easily manage their prospects.
  • Dashboard view of metrics for management.
It has allowed for management of the development team to have more data and intelligence at their fingertips without needing the data from the reporting and analytics team. The fundraiser's time being spent in easy addition of actions has allowed for a fuller picture of a prospect and, therefore, better engagement and increased giving.
  • No Training
I am a long-time fan of Raiser's Edge and feel there is no competition in the arena that I would even consider. They are the leader in the field and continue to grow and enhance their products and add more to their solution offerings every year. We are currently considering Award Management, Fundraiser Performance Management, and Guided Fundraising.

It is a perfect solution for any size development shop. The NXT view is still best suited for fundraisers and alumni relations or event staff. The database view is still critical for the research, advancement services, and administration staff as all functionality is still not rolled out into the NXT view.

Using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

25 - Alumni Relations, Annual Fund, Leadership Giving and Discovery, Event Management, Donor Relations. Gift Processing, Fund Management and accounting, Reporting, Analytics, Research, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Database Management.
3 - Strong analytical skills, understanding of the end user needs, organizational skills, and ability to muti tasks.
  • Management of donations and gift information.
  • Tracking of alumni.
  • Tracking of prospects and prospect information (various wealth and rating data points).
  • Donor relations - stewardship.
  • Management of portfolios.
  • We use dashboards that are used by development management so that they can evaluate fundraisers and set goals.
  • We are looking at adding products for discovery officers and integrating them to NXT.
  • We are evaluating the ability to integrate Tableau through open API for the visualization of data.
  • We are looking to move all email functionality to NXT from BBNC.
We have a lot invested in NXT and it suits our needs perfectly. There would be no reason for us to consider a needless conversion to a new solution. I do not believe there is any other product on the market that would be worth considering.
