Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MX

Cisco Meraki MX provides out of the box security for branch offices and also enables to connect to the head office or another MX located anywhere that has an internet connection. Intercommunication can be done without the need for a leased private line, which is expensive from the ISP. It is also very sleek and minimal configuration required since everything is on the cloud.

The device is set to work out of the box. All you need is to add the serial number of the MX in the Meraki dashboard to manage it. The MX works without any configuration since everything is in the allowed policy. Once the MX is online with an internet connection and is live on the Meraki dashboard, we can start to assign policies and other security parameters as per our needs, and the same will be pushed to the Cisco Meraki MX.
The Meraki ecosystem works best with its other products in the same portfolio. The Meraki switches and Meraki wireless access points are seamless to integrate with each other and the same is all available under the organization in the Meraki dashboard. This makes it easier to manage everything from one place, and there is no need to configure these devices individually.
The size of Cisco Meraki MX are very small and really portable. There is no need for conventional racks or any special equipment to mount the hardware. The smallest Cisco Meraki MX is as small as a home router and can be placed anywhere. This makes it the best option for smaller sites.

Do you think Cisco Meraki MX delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Meraki MX's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki MX live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki MX go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki MX again?

Yes

This is best suited for businesses that are small or for businesses that have multiple locations within the same region or worldwide. With an MX, you have the option to interlink with other MXs, and you can get connected with each other regardless of the location. This is a really economical option since the internet from an ISP is cheaper than a leased line. This is not a recommended option for critical or military applications as the reliability compared to a leased line and a more advanced firewall is relatively less for an MX.
