Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella

We use it mainly for security reasons. Taking advantage of all default know threats lists and creating custom blocking lists. For remote users with mobile devices so we can apply same policies as on local networks. DNS resolvers are set as DNS forwarders in our internal active directory domain controllers and roaming client on laptops for remote workers.
  • Block known phishing threats
  • Block websites in custom lists
  • Blocking specific urls from popular domains
  • Device identity when using DNS forwarders

DNS protection was a challenge for remote workers during covid pandemia however after this some workers remained at home doing their jobs. So umbrella helped the IT team to protect users from malicious websites and reduce the risk of a threat.
More secure environment on remote devices.
Cybersecurity is for me the top feature. It helps prevent the users from getting caught by a phishing campaign. Even if antispam solutions didn't quarantine a malicious email, is very like Umbrella will block any link on those emails. Also, you can restrict categories from web browsing by putting Umbrella as DNS resolver or even activating safe search mode in some search engines or applications like youtube.
