Overall Satisfaction with CloudFlare
We use CloudFlare as a solution to improve application availability. Our business-critical applications are web-based SAS tools and prior to using CloudFlare, network latency or server outages, which we experienced from time to time, had a significant impact on our operations. Since implementing CloudFlare's application availability service, we have dramatically reduced network (and corresponding application) downtime.
- Service has been reliable.
- Service has been relatively inexpensive/good value.
- We have seen little to no system downtime since implementing.
- We have not had any issues with CloudFlare to speak of.
- CloudFlare has significantly reduced network downtime. We implemented CloudFlare about 12 months prior to writing this review and I can't remember an episode of downtime since implementing. Previously, we had frequent episodes of network latency, probably due to traffic spikes, and downtime from server outages.
- CloudFlare has also helped with cache flushing after updating our e-commerce website, but that's just a small thing.
We looked at a few others such as Akamai and AWS, but our developer recommended CloudFlare based on his past experience with them. Pricing is in line with the market and service experience has met expectations.
