Overall Satisfaction with Gong

We use Gong to record meetings we hold with prospects and active clients. Gong allows us to study our conversations/discovery calls with prospects to improve our discovery. It's also handy for note-taking or filling out notes, as you have the recording handy to supplement your notes.

  • Translation in non english language (e.g. Dutch).
  • Time saving.
  • Upskilling AE squad.
  • Help converting deals through better deal management.
The core function is recording meetings and providing notes, etc. As the tool grows and functionalities are added, it becomes less of a meeting recording tool and more of a broader revenue enablement tool. We opted not to use Gong to forecast deals, for example. It depends on how your team chooses to use the tool, but there were a fair number of features outside of the core offering that we would rarely use.
Gong helps in reviewing conversations with customers and getting a better gauge on a meeting/discovery, especially if you are in a role where you have many discoveries per week. You can easily forget what exactly went down for a deal. It's handy to be able to match notes with an actual recording to be fully up to speed.
It is hard to answer; it is more something for the AE managers.

Gong is well suited for all external client online meetings (e.g., Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom). It also works well as an enablement tool to review conversations and look for areas of improvement, e.g., talking too much or not leaving enough room for silence. It is a good tool for managers looking to upskill the AE team.
