Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use GoToMeeting for monthly patient-facing educational webinars on various health and wellness topics. This marketing channel helps us to generate leads, educate and retain current patients and assists us with SEO. We also turn all webinars into podcasts furthering leveraging our reach.

We also use GoToWebinar for our quarterly company-wide town hall meetings. This allows the president and CEO to update all employees on the happenings of the company.

Pros and Cons

Cost
Enables you to collect more data at registration which Zoom doesn't

You have to download an app that doesn't work well in order to blur the speakers and hosts background. I tried the third party app a few times, but its terrible.
I think the Customer service is ok
In my opinion, if you don't have the latest updates to your computer, it won't run properly.
Sometimes the host video doesn't appear.

Return on Investment

It's allowed us to generate 32% more leads each month through webinars.
It's allowed us to know what clinic locations registrants are interested in which has generated a 17.5% conversion rate for the sales team.

Alternatives Considered

Zoom Webinars

We selected GTM for the price and the ability to collect registrant information. Compared to Zoom, the price and the registration info has been better, but Zoom operates more smoothly, had less technical issues, had the ability to blur the background or use other backgrounds (which looks more professional) and is less buggy overall.

While GoToWebinar is a cheaper service and allows us to collect registrants location info (which is helpful for our company) compared to Zoom, overall I think it can be buggy and a bit unreliable. I've worked with tech support numerous times to resolve issues a with the webinar host video not appearing, the background not being able to be blurred and other technical issues. Overall, in my opinion, its just ok.

It's cheaper than Zoom with some extra features but overall just ok
