Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting

GoToMeeting is used internally for large meetings that Skype cannot support and for external marketing webinars put on by our sales teams. It is primarily used by Sales and Marketing, but other groups may have their own instances as well. GoToMeeting allows us to put on engaging external webinars featuring and also allows us to host large internal meetings for broader teams containing 1,000+ people.
  • Ease of Use - Overall, the system is intuitive for both setting up and hosting a meeting/webinar and intuitive for participants as well.
  • Brand Customization - Easy to customize registration pages with basic brand colors, logos, etc.
  • Audience Control - Easy to designate participants, panelists (presenters), and organizers (full control).
  • In System Reporting - The reporting is nice, but it would be nice if the tool has metrics available as clickable charts in the system vs. excel downloads for all reports. The excel download is a nice option, but when you want quick information, in system reporting is great.
  • Next Level Brand Customization - It would be great if you could add your own imagery, fonts, or maybe even code to customize the webinar registration page. The webinar registration page does serve its purpose and is intuitive, but I'd like to see it taken to the next level.
  • Positive - Allows for hundreds of employees from around the country to join meetings with clear audio and screen sharing as opposed to Skype.
  • Positive - Allows for great technology experiences for our customers and prospects attending sales webinars.

GoToMeeting is incredibly user-friendly for organizers, presenters, and participants. The organizer has full control of a variety of settings for participants and can enable appropriate modules and features based on the needs of the meeting/webinar. It's easy for the organizer to apply basic branding to the registration page and downloadable reports are easy to find. Presenters usually have a good experiencing figuring out what they need to do or how they can view questions/polls from the audience while they are speaking. It's also easy for the end participant because modules are collapsable or expandable and it's easy to find everything you need.
I have not had to reach out for GoToMeeting support, which I guess is a good thing. The system is so intuitive that you most likely will not need support unless you are dealing with a complex integration or licensing expansion. I did reach out about a reporting or licensing question and received a prompt response.
GoToMeeting is much easier to use than Skype for Business and offers a lot more functionality. GoToMeeting was selected for my department because of how highly another department thought of it. A third department still uses Adobe Connect, but I think the goal would be to have one tool across the enterprise eventually.
GoToMeeting is well suited for meetings/webinars with very large audiences. The system is very intuitive for all involved. It is easy to set up a meeting/webinar and add presenters. It's easy to customize the modules available during the meeting and the actions the audience can take. It is nice to be able to customize the registration page with basic branding, but it could be taken to the next level. Reporting is intuitive and you can download a variety of audience Excel reports. In system reporting for all reports would take it to the next level.
