Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting
GoToMeeting is being used by our research group and others inside our institute, mainly to organize meetings in the scope of national and international projects. It allows the team to have real-time collaboration with other partners across the globe, editing documents online with other members of some consortium, screen sharing, etc.
- Screen sharing works perfectly.
- It is possible to join a meeting via computer, app in smartphone or phone call.
- It is very simple and easy to learn how to use.
- I believe there is a small limit in the number of attendees to a meeting.
- It could be easier to record a call and share it with others.
- No zoom feature for the participants in the meeting.
- Not very expensive for the benefits it provides to the organization.
- It allows saving a lot of time and money on trips, specially because it allows to share a lot of information through the screen sharing feature.
- It's a relatively simple learning curve on how to use the tool, so it also saves times in this way.
- Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and Webex Meetings
In my opinion, GoToMeeting is much more stable than Skype for Business tool, with greater audio and video quality. Also the screen sharing feature behaves better than in Skype. When compared to Cisco Webex Meeting, there is no so much difference, but some features are a little bit better. Of course it can still be improved.
