Why I Love Hubspot!
Overall Satisfaction with HubSpot
At Channelinsight, we use HubSpot for web site visitor tracking, sending email communications, track social media and generate leads using educational & thought-leadership content. Both Marketing and Sales use HubSpot, which makes it easy to connect with prospects and build a better database. With HubSpot it is very easy to create effective landing pages, professional looking emails, web pages and capture lead information.
Pros
- HubSpot is easy to learn how to use. As a result not a lot of training is necessary to get up and running quickly.
- I really love being able to see the results of our marketing efforts in the HubSpot dashboards. With their dashboards, it is easy to compare the results for email and landing pages and to figure which ones worked the best and which ones didn't. This makes it simple to repeat your successes and avoid duplicating your mistakes.
- HubSpot is constantly offering educational experiences to help users learn how to use the product more effectively. Their blog always provides great information and helps me to keep up with the consistently changing technology of the internet. This education helps me to be a better marketer and as result, helps me to create more effective marketing programs that generate more awareness of my brand and generate more leads.
Cons
- I really can't think of any areas that are in need of improvement. HubSpot is constantly improving and upgrading it's software. I used to think that eventually I would need to move to another Marketing Automation software, but because HubSpot is always evolving, I no longer feel this way.
- With HubSpot, we can track our web site visitors much better than ever before. As a result, we have been setting more appointments for our Sales Executives and we now have a fuller pipeline that we have ever had. This makes my CEO happy, which means the rest of the company is happy!
- With HubSpot, I know what my expenses will be each month. This helps me to stay on budget and plan marketing activities more effectively.
- Vertical Response,Emma,MailChimp,Salesforce.com
HubSpot is more well-rounded than either VerticalResponse, Emma, or MailChimp. However HubSpot integrates with Salesforce nicely and therefore they were not a competing factor in making the decision to go with HubSpot over the other 3 email programs.
Using HubSpot
2 - marketing and lead generation
2 - Director of Marketing and the Lead Gen person use Hubspot to send out campaigns. We both develop landing pages and emails. The CEO and occasionally some of the sales directors also use Hubspot to look up who has been on our web site or to track a lead source. The skills required to use Hubspot are not hard. It's pretty easy to create custom reports and such.
Evaluating HubSpot and Competitors
Yes - HubSpot replaced the use of VerticalResponse. HubSpot provides a lot more features and capabilities that VR did.
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
- Vendor Reputation
Pricing for HubSpot was affordable and fit within the (very small) budget I had to work with. Other solutions were a lot more expensive and probably overkill for what we needed to support sales and generate leads for the company.
I wouldn't change anything. I am still very happy with my decision to go with Hubspot and as Hubspot grows it capabilities, we grow along with them. So I see absolutely no reason to change. I am happy and as long as I am happy with them, I will continue to be a customer.
HubSpot Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Change management was minimal

No - We haven't needed premium support so far. So this question isn't applicable to us.
As I previously mentioned, every time I have had to contact HubSpot Support, they have always solved my problems quickly AND I always learn something new in the process. I love that I get to learn more about the product and that also makes it easier to use for both me and my team.
