Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Virtual Servers

We use IBM Cloud Virtual Servers to host our entire SaaS platform that hundreds of healthcare organizations utilize across the globe.

Pros

  • Quick spinup
  • Great choice
  • Good value

Cons

  • The ability to select the amount of memory by amount of GB's
  • Positive effect on our ROI. This backend is much more cost effective then our previous hosting solution
We've been able to get a clear understanding of what or rather how large our investments are and where they're being spent on.
We've used the reserved capacity on multiple occaissions. It allows us to quickly spin up new servers as we need them without any verification process taking place.
The ability to assign dedicated hosts is a must for us. One of the key reason we chose for IBM was because they offered hosting in all the countries where are clients are located. And because we host valuable healthcare data some law and compliancies mandate that we host data in those countries.
Bare Metal Servers are amazing in performance but they're slow to spin up and slow to reconfigure for additional resources. Virtual Machines allows us to be more flexible and more dynamic in our current workloads.

We used to host our virtual machines at a competitor but IBM's product range is much more cost effective which increased our ROI. Also having a partner with IBM opens up doors that would've previously been shut.
Using different services with one vendor allows for a larger return on investment. We ensure a lot more transparancy towards our organisation and we can bundle products to offer a stronger more reliable and robust offering towards our clients. It also makes our initial pitch much stronger because we take as much services as we can from one vendor, increasing trust and partner relations.
They're perfect as an IaaS solution hosting whatever kind of solution you have. Reliability has been great.
