Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Jotform for students to register for a Coding and Filmmakers Academy within our district. We like how the platform allows us to send a confirmation email with additional information for the academy as well as schedule follow-up messages as the event comes closer. Creating a Jotform is also easy and there are several options for the type of data that we need to collect. Also, the data is exportable in a variety of ways and this allows us to use the data to create schedules for our academy.

Pros and Cons

Easy to create a form with various data points.
Data exports easily.
Forms can be duplicated.
Forms can be scheduled to activate and close on set dates.
Form limits for registration are easy to do.

This may be possible and just don't know how but would like to be able to take the info from Jotform and create a certificate without having to export data first.
Wish there was an educational version that districts could use for free or a discounted rate.
Would like to have the ability for people to cancel be a bit easier. Some parents have mentioned hard to cancel but this could just be a training piece we need to work on.

Return on Investment

It has made our academy run smoother and easier for parents to register.
Follow-up to events is easy and simple with the email feature.
Clean interface while still allowing branding.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft 365

In the past we used Forms but it doesn't allow as follow-up messages or the ease of use of questions. Plus the data is harder to track without having to export over and over to see the results. Also, limited question types that may be used to gather data about the participants so this limits reports we can generate about who attended our event.

Usability

Very easy to use and has a variety of question types. Also, adding branding or a logo to a form was very simple and allowed the form to mesh with our website. The ability to also add emails and confirmation messages was simple to do and directions were easy to follow for the process.

Likelihood to Recommend

When you need to have students register for sessions or classes and want to also have the ability to send out follow-up information quickly Jotform allows you to do so. The ability to format emails that come as designated time is a nice feature and makes the prep work easier as you can create everything at once and not worry about having to go into the program for follow-up every day.
