Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
Security is of utmost importance and the easiest way for an attacker to get access to your system is still through phishing. KnowBe4's training, phishing simulation, and other modules allow us to train our 'human firewall' of staff effectively for both administrators and staff. This platform allows us to mitigate risk and is well worth your minimal time setting it up and utilizing it for everyone in your organization.

- Proofpoint Security Awareness Training (formerly Wombat Security)
Proofpoint SAT (formerly Wombat) had much less intuitive reporting to help assist staff who are struggling, had less interesting training videos, and much more US-based phishing templates making them almost a dead giveaway for our staff unless we spent time customizing them. Wombat's user interfaces as well is/were very dated and also deterred staff from logging in to do the required training, which forced us to follow up more often. The price of KnowBe4, we found, with all the content was less expensive than Proofpoint's solution with only partial content.

Let's be honest, no one wants to watch dated content in the ever-evolving world of IT unless it's for a good laugh, and then the content has lost its true purpose for training. The constantly updated videos and phishing templates really keep our users alert and attentively taking in the information. It's also a bonus that you can narrow down videos by playtime, which allows us to target specific videos (short) during our busy season and longer ones for our slow season.
User management is done using KnowBe4's sync tool which automates the whole process from our identity provider. It has simply been set and forgotten. The sync tool is also very customizable which allows us to target specific groups, sync times, specific attributes, and more. Unfortunately, they do not have an Azure AD synchronization option, which we really would appreciate. They do have Azure AD DS but that's a large investment if this is your only purpose for that service.
While metrics for individuals' failure rate on phishing are important, I would say focusing on high-target groups like accounting, leadership and IT is more important. KnowBe4 covers these areas in their reporting by default and you can schedule the reports as well. It is a very welcome feature that KnowBe4 will continue to remind a user (and their report) of uncompleted assignments. You can customize this alert a bit but it also pushes the responsibility of the follow-up to their manager; saving IT time.

Human error has been mitigated by using automated user provisioning. In addition, SAML SSO makes it so easy for staff and administrators to gain access to their training. No longer are the days of forgetting to update a user principal name or email on one platform but not another causing the user and admin time spent troubleshooting.
