Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
Our employees tend not to be able to recognize phishing e-mails, that is, they often cannot tell the difference between phishing and real e-mail. We use KnowBe4 for phishing simulations, awareness training and reporting of phishing messages using a button in Microsoft Outlook. Training employees is not a project but a returning activity and this is where KnowBe4 shines.
- Create real-looking phishing e-mails with easy to use templates
- Track user progress and offer related modules
- Automatically add a user to a training module if they fail a phishing test
- Don't send phishing simulations to employees that are on (sick) leave
- Integrate PhishER SSO timeout with the main KnowBe4 SSO settings
- Offer localized training modules more quickly, we often need to wait for the translation
- Risk of falling victim to phishing has reduced significantly
- Security awareness has increased
- Reporting phishing e-mail has never been easier
- We spend less hours analyzing reported phishing messages due to automation
KnowBe4 is world leader in security awareness training and has a good feature set. We selected KnowBe4 because I had earlier experience with them and know they are always willing to help. The implementation was not complicated, also because of the documentation that describes how to configure each and every option.

Because training is a process and not a one time project, the availabilty of fresh training content and access to different content publishers is very useful. This enables us to keep offering fresh content that adapts to the changing world of security. This helps to raise the awareness month after month.
Users are synchronized from Azure Active Directory. We make them member of a specific group, which then triggers KnowBe4 to create the accounts. Subsequently, new users are added to a introductory training (we use the Kevin Mitnick 2023 training module). If they aren't taking it, they receive a reminder. If they keep ignoring it, their manager is notified. This guarantees success.
The overall SAT scores are important. Also, reports about users who clicked a phishing simulation - which means they will have to take an additional training module (we use the Spot the Phish game). Users that fail multiple times can be reported to a manager to see if they need more assistance.
