Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp in our church to send out email newsletters, prayer requests, and announcements to our congregation. We have also used it in the past to send emails to guests who visit our church for the first time. This was beneficial to us because we could see if the recipient opened the email rather than wondering if they got it or if it went into their spam folder.
  • Email Formatting
  • Contact Management
  • Product Usages Walkthroughs
  • "Send To" Contact Selection
  • Campaign Search Feature
  • Being able to see how many emails get delivered and opened so we know our reach
  • Mailchimp has a robust offering for their free system that perfectly suffices for a small church like ourselves, so ROl is amazing!
  • Being able to send mass emails without getting flagged by our email provider as a spammer is a big plus!
Like I said before, it takes some figuring out. It's not excessively user-intuitive, but it's not terrible either. With some time, patience, and YouTube tutorials, it's very doable to get the hang of it. One thing that helps with the usability a lot is the ability to import contacts as well as set up signup forms so folks can sign up for your contact list without you having to manually enter each contact. That helps tremendously.
My church only uses Mailchimp for email, so I have no experience in their all-in-one solutions.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, for the short time our church didn't meet in person, we authored short devotional articles for our congregation and sent them via email using Mailchimp once or twice a week. It was a way we could get the material in their hands very quickly with a minimal workload on us.

Yes

Mailchimp is well-suited for any organization that needs to send out mass email campaigns. There are a few technical skills that are required to get an email looking clean and professional, but once you have some templates made, it makes it easy to send great-looking emails to your contact lists. If someone is not tech-savvy, they should be prepared for a steep learning curve and to find quality YouTube videos to help. I say this because I tried to help my church's secretary learn how to use our Mailchimp account once. Let's just say, I'm still the main guy sending the church's emails.
