At our university where students come in from more than 200 different countries to pursue university level education (bachelors, masters and doctors) with over 5 campuses spanning across the country with more than 50k active students, it becomes quite challenging for us to facilitate marketing and operational email communications with our students, partner universities and also our prospective students. With Marketo Engage we have been able to touch base with each of our students, partners and prospective students with the personalized marketing tactics (including emails, social media marketing). We have been using Marketo as our marketing automation software for carrying out all our internal and external marketing and operational communications. With one of the best native CRM connectors it is very easy to hook up with our CRM for closed loop marketing and lead management.

Marketo is a super-duper helpful tool for reaching out to prospects, using nurture/drip program to increase the brand awareness and thereby bringing in more quality MQL leads to the database, with its efficient yet simple to manage lead management framework Marketo is really proving to be the best yet simple tool to carry out the marketing activities. With a powerful and organized strategy there is no limit on the ROI that Marketo can provide.
Marketo with best in class lead management along with easy to use features is definitely a proven leader in among its peers, which can do similar things as Marketo does but setting them up and initial learning curve for them is not so smooth as that of Marketo. Marketo with its capabilities of ad integration helps us with the closed loop reporting of all the marketing ad expenditures which is a feature that is often missed in its competitors. Overall Marketo is a powerful and efficient planning tool that can help a business grow, sustain and bring in the quality leads.
Marketo is best suited for a mid-large scale organisation which has a requirement for managing and tracking the leads/prospects their marketing activities performance through basic and advanced reporting. Marketo does very well in the email marketing including the nurture, drip and engagement programs which are super easy to build, run and manage. The feature of Smart Lists and access to detailed lead database/Activity Logs helps extremely in program/campaign troubleshooting. The CRM connector is also a huge plus point, it is so easy to hook your CRM with Marketo.
