We use Marketo to manage our marketing campaigns and my team uses it extensively for tracking lead generation activities. As we just added the platform we're still finding ways to use it to its full potential.

We are seeking to have more segmented audiences by geographic location, the number of users, and business maturity. This will allow us to have more sophisticated nurture and cross-sell activities via email and other channels. In using Marketo for our prospecting activities our main goal was better attribution modeling so that we can clearly see what campaigns are driving the most ROI.
We were using our own proprietary campaign tracking tool and CRM before making the transition and it made a big difference. You can only do so much with a small team until you add tools that allow you to grow. We've freed up more time to focus on our key job responsibilities now, as well as gained better attribution and reporting.
