Our digital team in the marketing department uses Marketo for email marketing and lead generation. The analytics it provides are invaluable to those across the firm accessing it in Salesforce through Sales Insight.
- Segmenting your audience with the ability to build smart lists based on anything you can imagine.
- Email marketing is easy to use and teach new employees.
- The Sales Insight plugin to Salesforce provides invaluable sharing of knowledge across the company.
- When we first implemented the platform, there were issues with email deliverability but this issue has since never come up.
- Sometimes the support staff is not knowledgeable enough to help with problems which requires a delayed response.
Marketo is much more robust than ExactTarget, there is no comparison. We used that platform before we used Marketo and the functionality used to be comparable to Constant Contact. I'm not sure how the platform operates now that Salesforce acquired them.
