Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Dynamics GP
The product is being used as our ERP solution and is used by most in the organization. We have contracted with a preferred vendor for the manufacturing and sales estimating/quoting module as the standard module does not meet our specific needs for material traceability. We also use third party services for payroll, HR and timekeeping which we are currently looking into bringing in-house using this product. Quality and expense reporting are also add-on modules.
- ACH payment processing works well.
- Smart list capabilities
- Dashboard capabilities
- Reporting is insufficient.
- Manufacturing module insufficient.
- Costing features don't seem to be well configured. Landed cost is particularly problematic for us.
- Seems to be easy for records to go astray. Difficult to clear items from reports in AP and purchase receipts.
- Would like to see a workflow purchase requisition solution resident in GP.
- Some efficiencies achieved in the accounting department.
Does not stack up against SAP as it does not have the level of flexibility offered by SAP. JD Edwards software was awful, no comparison.
