Overall Satisfaction with Miro

It helps us collaborate remotely. when everyone is scattered, it helps us bring ideas together. I used it a lot on my design teams but recently I moved to a different type of team and introduced this tool to use. Before this, they were using PowerPoint slides to brainstorm together, and it was not working. I use it now for brainstorming. I used to use it to house product requirements and consumer insights.
  • Brainstorm within really nice layouts.
  • Collect product requirements and get comments on them.
  • Document consumer insights and share them with others.
  • The free product - I would be okay with having fewer tools available in exchange for more editable boards.
  • When I'm sharing a board, I'm a little confused if I'm sharing just the board or inviting a person to my team.
  • It takes a little learning to know how to move around the board without moving objects - the switch between the arrow and the hand cursor is confusing. New users keep moving the frame or box and I have to lock it. I'd say this is the biggest one. Figuring out how to navigate it at first.
  • Improved productivity for sure!
  • Negative: there's been some resistance inviting colleagues in other teams because my teammates were scared the other teams wouldn't be able to learn it. They don't want to force them to make an account and learn another tool.
I tried integrating it with Airtable but it didn't work the way I wanted. I think I wanted it to go from Miro to Airtable instead of Airtable to Miro or whatever. I forget exactly because it was several months ago, but we repeatedly tried to integrate it and it didn't work the way we wanted.
It's made collaboration effortless during the pandemic especially. My old teams used soooo many Miro boards. It was indispensable.

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is wayyyyyyy better than the built-in whiteboard tool in Teams. Lots more colors, functionality, options. My teammates have also tried using PowerPoint to collect ideas and it's not good.
Collecting everyone's ideas -- it's easier for introverts to write their ideas instead of having to call them out. I also love using the "cards" tool to collect product requirements it's less appropriate IMO to create polished presentations. Keynote and PowerPoint is still better for that it's less appropriate for really detailed user stories.
