Overall Satisfaction with Miro

- We use Miro with our clients and for our internal projects.
- We use it because we have recognised that it's an effective way to visualise thinking in one collaborative space.
- We use it because it helps us to create a safe space for solo writing as well as teamwork in one space.
- It's well known now so lots of people have experience of using it.
  • it's easy to add bulk post-its from other tools (i.e. from a spreadsheet)
  • it's easy to wireframe
  • it makes synthing easy and aesthetically pleasing
  • onboarding
  • reduced synth'ing time (i.e. no more having to translate physical to digital stickies)
  • enabled more voices to be heard in the room (making people feel included and valued)
  • enabled virtual workshops to be as valuable as physical workshops (so we can charge clients the same amount)
n/a I was not involved in the implementation of miro at portable, but i have been involved in the implementation of miro at another organisation. we stuck with the free version because you can do a lot with thta. we tended to use the free version as a non-profit it was difficult to justify the expenditure.
it's great - it's enabled us to have a national team and give people to ability to work from home when needed. it has also allowed us to work with clients in a secure environment.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

FigJam is better integrated with figma that we use a lot and has similar functionality. we're going to be exploring that. Mural is comparable, but miro has easier functionality and better ui (in my opinion). can't put my finger on why though.
well suited: workshops, virtual engagements, lots of people and few facilitators, where everyone is tech literate.
less appropriate: when there are few people, tech illiterate people in the room or where a face to face conversation/discussion/workshop is available or is more appropriate (i.e. vulnerable groups, or with people who rarely get together in person)
