Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

I use monday.com for all internal and cross-functional project management initiatives. I am a member of a 5-person marketing team who helps manage global marketing initiatives in multiple time zones, so it can be difficult to stay on top of everything. monday.com boards and automations help us lay out realistic timelines and goals for our marketing campaigns related to: product releases, new partner launches, in-person events, virtual events, and other marketing-specific efforts like acquisition, retention, and reactivation. We use a basic paid version which allows us to create unlimited boards and invite our colleagues from multiple different teams so that we can keep all relevant stakeholders in the loop and accountable for all involved projects.
  • Project Management re: multiple teams, team members, tasks
  • Data aggregation
  • Automating tasks to simplify board updates
  • Notifying team members of changes to the projects
  • live view to see if others are actively working in your board
  • Save time setting up repeat-structure boards
  • Save money on expensive project management alternatives
  • Streamline workflows by centralizing all tasks and deliverables into a more comprehensive project plan board
monday.com has a vast set of templates and pre-built automations that help users get started - even people who don't know what they don't know. Everyone is organized differently and monday.com has been a great common ground for all of the different archetypes on our teams: the creatives, the strategists, the salespeople, and the numbers people. The only reason I don't say 10/10 is because I think there needs to be a bit more visual representation on some of the board types. The lines in groups on regular boards are useful for when you need a lot of data, but I think it being horizontal like an Excel sheet can be improved - I suggest vertical like a "card" so items can be clicked and dragged, compared, and reordered as needed. Instead of clicking "done" when something is done, manually drag the task card into the "Done" pile.
I have never once needed to contact support.I wanted to omit a rating but TrustRadius made me choose.
It is my favorite software and I am so invested in it that it would be really difficult to get me to switch to something else. I don't even know what an alternative would need to have to get me to switch. I am so accustomed to the workflows and tools monday.com has to offer and I am not looking elsewhere.

Do you think monday.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with monday.com's feature set?

Yes

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

I was tasked with solving a specific problem - we don't have enough of our base subscribed to our marketing emails - so I used monday.com to help lay out a plan for an Email Reactivation campaign (the first time I've ever done this). With the templates and automations, I was able to lay out a thorough and organized Email Reactivation strategy with a realistic timeline across 3 cross-functional teams, 14 stakeholders, and 40+ tasks start to finish all within a single board.

Using monday.com

15 - The team members that use monday.com are:
  • Business Development leads
  • Marketing creatives and strategists
  • Sales leads across the world
  • Product development specialists
  • Sales automation engineers
We use the tool on our own team's projects and to coordinate with each other on larger projects that involved multiple stakeholders throughout the organization

  • inter-team project management
  • intra-team project management
  • individual task management
  • coordinating with external parties (only if we don't have to pay for their seats, maybe view-only access?)
We use monday.com for so many ongoing projects that we would be lost without it. There is no comparable tool that specializes the way monday.com does for the needs I have. It is the elevated version of all the countless google docs and google sheets we used to use without overcomplicating with a ridiculously costly solution that claims to do everything.
