Overall Satisfaction with OneSource Virtual

they ultimately are our back office for payroll - once we complete payroll in Workday (our HRIS system), we open a ticket for them to settle and remit payments to the employees. They also print and mail our W2s and 1095s (other items they do but we do not use them for that - all Workday related of course)
  • somewhat quick response
  • able to escalate easier than larger firms like ADP
  • taxes - was an issue before and we moved to ADP for this
  • turnover a lot - many people change pods on our account so we never really get to know them + not everyone you deal with and ask questions about payroll is knowledgeable
  • in the beginning, it was helpful to have a Workday expert there to help with many things but as time went on and we became more self-sufficient, not sure the bang for the buck is there
nothing great but it isn't bad. they've gotten a lot more responsive in the last few years but very limited based on the type of service you have.
ADP was a full service (which I think OneSource Virtual also has) but we don't use it. we just have them complete the backend work after payroll is complete.

Do you think OneSource Virtual delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with OneSource Virtual's feature set?

Yes

Did OneSource Virtual live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of OneSource Virtual go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy OneSource Virtual again?

Yes

not sure if it's the greatest bang for your buck (since I've never used any other payroll as a service provided outside of them for Workday), but they are the larger players out there.

Evaluating OneSource Virtual and Competitors

  • Price

before implementing Workday, we wanted to work with a company that knew the software well and can help in the heat of a moment - they were there at that point, but as they grew, it felt as less tenured/experienced folks started to work and assist with items. additionally, everything required some type of fee/sow prior (sometimes even a simple question).
Workday is larger now and have many other players in the field to help with this - OneSource Virtual is still the top player, but sometimes another vendor may fit the needs of your current set up vs. the largest player -- everyone is an expert of a certain item, just not all items.
