Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

Outreach may look a little daunting at first, but only if your eyes have been stuck in Excel templates and Salesforce reports for too long.

I actually found Outreach easy to interact with and even teach to my sales reps. It's extremely simple to execute on dials and emails for the user, even to build email templates and search for contacts and other sequences.
Outreach has enabled my team to refine a smarter, cleaner cadence when prospecting through contacts and accounts in our Salesforce instance. We have built out customized sequences of intelligent email templates, individually for the different personas and use cases that we sell to. Embedded within those sequences are also dial prompts for our reps to make calls after and before they send out an email.

Not only is Outreach an effective solution for sending out thoughtful emails at a fast pace, but is also the best dialer solution I've used at any previous company.

Our BDRs have become so reliant on Outreach for their day to day processes, that we decided to acquire additional licenses and share the solution with our closing sales team as well. Early feedback is very positive.
  • Offers user-friendly but highly customizable user interface.
  • Easy to build email template system
  • Efficient dialer plug-in for Salesforce
  • Salesforce integration can be wonky and unreliable
  • Phone calls can drop or lose quality from time to time
  • New update autofills existing contact info from a previous Salesforce page, even when opening a new tab. Glitches like these pop up time to time.
  • Increased success on individual campaigns.
  • A better understanding of successful v. non-successful sales strategies.
  • Higher activity output from our reps
The best comparison I have is YesWare, which at the time of my use, lacked any real phone call functionality that I was aware of.

YesWare allowed for custom emails but you were not able to feed them into a customized sequence for later use. Reporting within Yesware was also extremely difficult if not completely nonexistent.
A marketing or sales campaign wherein a product line or sales method is being implemented makes for a great Outreach use case.

For example, we hosted our own tech conference last summer. We needed our BDR team to execute on a series of marketing-built email templates within a certain stretch of time. We also needed to ensure that BDRs and Account Executives alike, were calling prospects in the area to offer an invitation to the event.

Outreach allowed us to build a cadence that made this possible, with very little effort from the reps.
